  1. But as a not Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co supporter why would you care?
  2. I miss Daniel Grainger already, I also miss Gary Harkins, Gary Harkins and Jake Caprice. Stephane Bahoken returning was a wee bonus and I also miss Gary Harkins and Dan McGarry and Gary Harkins. We play with what we have, no new players for us today. Like the child who got no new toys on Christmas day we sit with our faces tripping us as we face up to the acceptance that life for us will maybe not be as good as had dared hope. We must fend off the threat on the play offs all the time nervously hoping that injuries and suspensions do not afflict us. Our season ticket money obviously loses value quicker than that spent in towns such as Ayrshire and Glasgow's swanky but blighted with Maryhillness West End or indeed the highland town of Dingwall. Fellow relegation strugglers may enter the transfer market in desperate attempts to improve and survive but alas our club face the challenge with a team that has only won 10 football matches in ten months. Maybe if Shull bought more pies then that elusive re-incarnation on Norrie McWhirter could have been signed, maybe if Faraway actually went to games and spent money on tickets then that elusive but budget Chris Innes type would be stood in Ferguslie just now pledging money bought allegiances to the Paisley footballing cause. If only fellow forum user's, if only!
  3. Normally that would be correct and your comment in it's purest form would appear to be just that, correct. However one could sign a player for say £100,000 plus a three year contract at £50,000 per annum. Total cost £250,000. However one could not sign a player thus paying no transfer fee and incurring no wage costs but instead spend £400,000 on prostitutes and cocaine. Total cost £400,000. One could argue that signing the player would actually have been cheaper but probably not as much fun. Anyway yet again its window closing time and all around our rivals are showing off new players in new strips with fake smiles and stories of "I always wantit to play furr umm, hingmie". Yet again we sit with our fingers rammed firmly up our bahookies with a shortage of playing staff in key positions and no new players. It fair curdles my spunk so it does!
  4. Not that any non Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co supporter like yourself would have any interest in such a thing or indeed the motivation to post about it on a Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co fanatics forum like this!
  5. I would wager that you know the answer to that already my distant fellow forum chum. John Potter almost appeared thrice as wee joke, I like jokes, especially mine, I often laugh at my own jokes. Edited to add: Oops a daisy, I have made a right maximillion out of myself
  6. Another way of looking at this is that maybe Dan the manager man is not the problem and everyone else is. The following people are well out of order Iain Jenkins Hugh Murray John Potter Gareth Wardlaw Paul McQuade Jamie McCluskey Sean Lynch That young ginger fullback from Cowdenbeath whose name escapes me That young midfielder we loaned from Burnley whose name escapes me Sam Parkin Jeroen Tessolar Nigel Hasselbank Juri Travner Dougie Imrie Gary Harkins Graham Carey David Cornell Craig Samson Lee Mair Jake Caprice Gary Harkins Grant Adam Lewis Guy Sander Puri Paul Gallacher Aaron Mooy Michael Higdon and Paul McGinn all of these bad boys left the club under wee Dan's stewardship and every single one of them could have made it (either Gus or wee Dan will have said so at some point) so they are all bawbags as wee Dan is brilliant and those buggers jus make him look bad. Shame on them useless buggers, shame on them all. Anyway I do hope that any players we have tried to sign today just stop being stupid, stop asking for too much money, stop worrying about your future and just bloody sign for us. As you will see from the list above hardly anyone leaves a Danny Lennon run club!
  7. I just do not wish to address you today. You are always close to my ignore list anyway and I have no motivation that drives me to wish to communicate with you. Oh and I think you are being a right highly strung maximillion!
  8. Now how much would be like this to be the first paragraph of the news report. Saint Mirren's new deadline day centre half signing __________ _____________ rose above the rat faced Scott Brown to head the winner for the Paisley side only 3 minutes from time and completely destroy ginger Lennon's wish of an unbeaten league run. The result had such ramifications that Celtic have since shut down and moved to Dublin. Danny Lennon said of his new signing "___________ ____________ had a cracking game and has that wee bit of quality that we wanted to bring in here, in fact he is such a good centre half I will play him in goal next week." What part of that statement is far fetched?
  9. Oh well Its all in my head then. Grainger's tweet was obviously NOT aimed at anyone in management and he clearly has an issue with someone at a pie stall. Damn those buggers in the pie stall! I was also mistaken when Dan the manager man's assistant manager man stopped a team bus and got off after a fall out with Dan the manager man. Was it Iain Jenkins he was called? I got completely the wrong end of the stick when Dougie Imrie left the club as he cannot have had any issue or anything to moan about or why else would John McGinn exist! When Gareth Wardlaw said he had been promised a contract by wee Dan the manager man only to left up shit creek and outside a brew office I got that wrong as well as the fact that Kenny McLean plays for us makes this impossible. I was also wrong when John Potter claimed to have had a contract offer swiped off the table by wee Dan and on that one and I don't care as I did think that John Potter was pish. The point is so simple, it is happening with too much regularity. These people who have reportedly had issues with wee Dan are statistically unlikely to all be bellends. This is bad for our club! *Or statistically unlikely to all be Maximillions
  10. Ah picking over the minutia of a simple and straightforward point. Mr Grainger's twitter account (that you will have read about it in this very thread) Mr Carey was not offered a new contract with mutterings about "his attitude" abound. It really was not that long ago my forum chum.
  11. That is only two people. The fact that you are actually trying to "balance things up" indicates a very real problem. We should not, under any circumstances have this almost constant stream of disgruntled players leaving. It is easy to scoff at such instances but they keep happening and in the small circles of professional football this has to be damaging our reputation and may well (if not already) cost us signings. If I were looking for employment and the boss of a local business kept losing staff who all had something to moan about then I would maybe think twice about taking that job. Decent players will always have options and with wee Dan the manager man constantly falling out with people then that cannot be good for the fortunes of our wonderful club.
  12. Don't think that anyone outside the club can really say such a thing with any authority. Danny Grainger came with a good reputation, seemed to dislike wee Dan the manager man and left. Gary Harkins came with a good reputation, seemed to dislike wee Dan the manager man and left on loan. Lee Mair was a perfectly decent centre half and a popular member of the squad. Wee Dan the manager man would appear to have had some sort of problem with Lee Mair and Lee Mair was pushed out of the door. Stephane Bahoken was lauded by Dan the manager man as a talent. An issue clearly arose as Bahoken went awol, announced as gone by our club before being forced back by his parent club and now loiters in our squad...apparently happily!!!! Graham Carey was a bloody popular player with a cracking left foot. He was pushed out by Dan the manager man as apparently Carey had an attitude problem and he now ply's his trade in Dingwall, apparently happily. I could go on and if you make a list of all of Dan the manager mans signings you will find that an awful lot have left after having some sort of "issue" with our manager. Something is badly wrong in all of this as even Faraway Saint doesn't fall out with such a high percentage of people.
  13. How very pessimistic Mr Optomistic. Thankfully I shall remain tedious and retain some familiarity for our regular forum user's. Now I just thought that I would add that I recall one of my wives showing me the door. Unfortunately for me it was a white pvc thing that cost me £1200. I still have it now and I really hate that bloody door.
  14. In that case may I suggest wiping your monitor down with a cold damp cloth.
  15. Five years already eh? In the spirit of happiness my top three memories of the new stadium are as follows 1) Beating Sellick 4 - 0 2) Beating Sellick 1 - 0 with a Billy Mehment penalty 3) Beating the oldco 2-1 on that wonderful Christmas eve. Ah yes, good times indeed.
  16. I really cannot be bothered reading this thread in its entirety as the dross posts bore me somewhat, bore me somewhat indeed. However do we know if our club actually offered Nacho Novo a contract? And if so why he did not take it?
  17. Well cobble my shoes, I did not know that. I sincerely hope that wee Danny does not know that as he would likely try and play him there as he plays everyone else out of position. My confidence is low at the moment.
  18. Not that you have any interest whatsoever my non Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co supporting fellow forum using person. Whilst this has failed to conjure up any excitement for me may I wish Josh the very best and hopefully he not only enjoys his time with our club but helps our team successfully avoid the ever looming play off in what is sure to be wee Danny's last season with us.
  19. I am very sad to say this but we are now in a play off fight that we have no good reason to be in. It was perfectly reasonable to expect 6 points from our last two games (vs Plastic Whistle and the Hetz) but yet again we emerge hopelessly short of where we should be. Everyone is beating Hertz except us and its worse than poor. We are entitled to demand better and better we must demand.
  20. To put this into commonly used blackandwhitearmy vernacular may I state the following "Danny's tea has been oot for so long its getting cauld" Thank you fellow forum user's it is time for my bed.
  21. We have Naismith who is doing very well at right back and as such should be left in that position. We have Sean Kelly who is a slight slip of a boy who is doing well at left back and should be left in that position. Daniel Grainger is a left back who cannot even get a game in that position and should not be considered at centre half. David Van Zanten is a right back who cannot get a game in that position and should not be considered at centre half. I concur that our glorious squad needs another centre half and I will be very disappointed (although not surprised) if one is not employed by our honourable and just club prior to the slamming of the shutness of the window of the transferness.
  22. He spent his entire time tracking back and hardly got into the Plastic Whistle half. Played hopelessly out of position and quite difficult to watch as we desperately needed some pace up front. Why does our manager insist on playing players out of position? If he wants a right midfielder then bloody sign one!
  23. So we have a very highly rated English under twenty one international player that Daniel Lennon has been quoted in the press as saying that our club have been after for some time. I have heard him referred to as a "player" and a "speed merchant". But yet Daniel Lennon decided to play young Adam at right midfield today. I am annoyed at this. If Alan Pardew or anyone at Newcastle saw that game today they would be well within reason at taking him straight back as our Mr Lennon will waste that young lad.
  24. Sadly Div I would not be astounded. I was so astounded by wee Dan's decision to play three at the back against Hearts (in the second half) that not having a centre half would not astound me at all, in fact it would not even surprise me. We need a centre half, in fact we could do with two but I have given up on second guessing our Mr Lennon as he is a fellow with strange ideas.
