My brother Douglas used to embarrass me at away games he always seemed to argue with home fans during the game at away grounds not in a fight way , fights never broke broke out but God did he fight our corner. RIP miss and love you.

Sometimes I wonder if I view the millennium champions through the rose tinted specs of nostalgia, but looking back on this season, we didn't really have a "Mendes at Starks" or "McKnight at Somerset " moment. The closest really was probably coming back from 2-0 down at Palmerston. We were really good this season, and both this team and the 2006 team are undoubtedly far better equipped for the Premiership, but the drama of the 99-00 season is unbeatable.

They've all been great and similar in that you don't really enjoy them properly until it's "arithmetically" impossible to be caught. Only then can you relax and celebrate. Like others I agree that the millennium campaign was the best, fantastic free scoring (the bubble didnae burst). This one and 2005/06 were great too, with this one my 2nd favourite due to the 16 month run... relentless.
 

Anyone voting for anything other than 99-2000 is presumably too young to remember it.
The great escape of last season when we finally unleashed Mallan and Morgan together is the only thing that compares.
Everything under Gus was miserable, even winning the league!*
This season was ok, but there was no real competition after January and we stuttered over the line rather than the grand finish of 2000.
* for the benefit of the forum thickos, thats a joke.

Nothing tops the Millennium season.
The sheer number of goals both for and against, the dynamic of that team, the drama and the run in that saw some massive late winners against Raith, Falkirk and Ayr. 

I do and pie & Bovril.  Have also met a good few buddies from here also everyone a top man & girl. 

I've been a long time lurker (several years) and decided to try and do my bit to keep it going and hopefully improve the level of debate / comment by finally registering, Hardest part was thinking up a forum name! Hope to contribute over the coming months....until someone upsets me and I spit the dummy out. [emoji38]
 
 

It does seem beneficial if someone from the SMISA committee could state if the takeover from Gordon Scott will happen before year 10 or not?
I don’t see why a committee member can’t use this forum as a communication method with members. I Thought Kenny did a very admirable job communicating with members before his resignation.

1999-2000 was my favourite. Me and my mates were just the right age for it and I pretty much went to every game that year. It all came out the blue, after so many years of pure shite we were all of a sudden this swaggering, free scoring juggernaut. It awesome. 
This season is probably just about my second favourite, especially coming straight after the great escape, though I actually think the team of 2005-06 was probably the best team out of the three.  Broadfoot, Lappin, Adam, Murray, Van Zanten and Sutton were all very good players and the 2005 edition of each would definitely get a game for us now.

I will also be looking at moderation. The forum will stay, there's no danger of that changing, however things around it need to change.

Better moderation would be decent as in general there are good posts on here , there are those that have been banned and managed to come back , more than once and there seem to be some who are already running scared after the announcement , the ones that favour communication by the tedious over use of emoticons. .
