  1. Far too difficult to say, possibly Paul Lambert (although unlikely), Steve Clark (although would he leave Killie) and knowing the usual ambitious Saints board more likely to be Jim McIntyre. I'm afraid there aren't too many available managers out there I would choose from, just hope Thistle don't sack Alan Archilbald or Paisley may be his next stop !!!
  2. Alex Rae, Graham Murty, Allly McCoist, Kenny Miller all available any else see a certain Glasgow connection here???
  3. In my slowest voice, Roooobbbbbiiee Neeeeiiilllson is a veerrrrryy iinterseeeting indiviiiiduuual whoo mmmakkkkes Craiggggg Levvvvien sooooounnnd vvvverrrry verrrry innnnterrrsting so would be a great choice, also bombed big time at MK Dons a made up club similar to Livingston. David Hopkin FFS are you serious the ball would come back down wi snow on it with every attack. Danny Lennon also mentioned nooooooooooo, may as well get Tommy Craig in just for a laugh. Jim Goodwin zero experience so another no. Who the hell associated us with Jim Duffy a definite no from me. The board really have their work cut out given the timescale with pre season training etc. Something I haven't seen mention is how our players will react to all this, Steohen McGinn amongst others thought very highly of Jack Ross, wonder how many Saints players will be enticed to Sunderland, wi Aye man. A bloody mess at present, thanks Jack. In fact take Jack Baird and Danny Mullan tae Sunderland I'll even drive them there for you.
  4. Jack Ross has not exactly covered himself in glory with all the Ipswich/Sunderland speculation, nor may I say have our illustrious board who granted the manager permission to talk to Ipswich but, not Sunderland if reports are to be believed. I have no issue with any manager or player moving on, however as a St Mirren fan I WANT WHAT'S BEST FOR ST,MIRREN!!! By that I mean binding contracts, a long term sustainable plan and ultimately success on the pitch for Saints. I personally couldn't give two hoots about Ipswich, Sunderland or any other team for that matter only St Mirren. This whole saga may have a negative impact on our recruitment policy for next season (who sanctioned the signing from Dirty Dancing yesterday??). As for Jack and his we're on our way speech in The Bankhouse it all seems very hollow and shallow now. The only thing that remains loyal at any football club is the fans, end of. On a brighter note given our recent promotion we should be able to attract a better calibre of manager as normal process would be club struggling, results poor, manager sacked, not so in this case. Let's just hope the whole managerial saga is resolved ASAP in order to build for next season and get the club set on the right road for what I suspect will be a difficult season, with or without Jack Ross. (I may add he walked out on Hartlepool during his playing career wonder if North East history will repeat itself).
  5. I may add the most passionate St Mirren fan I ever met was Toshie, sadly missed.
  6. The man with the Highland accent hails from Barrhead and is a close neighbour of mine, has been going to games for years. He had a real soft spot for Big Yardley.
  7. I have one spare ticket available for the West Stand on Saturday.

Please PM me if your interested.

  8. I have one spare ticket available for Saturday in the West Stand. (Nephew can't make it). Please PM me if anyone is interested.
  9. I have 1 spare ticket available for the West Stand section W1, row C for the Livi game. Please message me if you 're interested.
  10. 1. Derek Scrimgeour 2. Robert Dawson 3. Bobby Law 4. Sergie Baltacha 5. Marc McAusland 6. John Potter 7. James Marwood 8. Kevin Twaddle 9. Mike Conroy 10. Steve Kinsey 11. Jim Gardner Subs: Fraser Wishart Jim Stewart Alan Irvine Mark Reid Callum Ball Manager: John Coughlin A truly awful St Mirren squad with an equally awful Manager.
  11. A stonewall penalty all day long, God only knows what video Robertson was watching. If he wants to look at dubious penalty decisions over the weekend suggest he has a wee look at the Celtic - Motherwell game, now that really is an appalling decision. Footnote to Robertson's comments regarding referee decision, wonder if the authorities will fine him or ask for an explanation of his comments or do SFA.
  12. The saints goal was scored by Steven McGarry and the equaliser was a wonder goal by Zerouali. We lost the replay on the same evening a certain Super Caley went ballistic against Celtic.
  13. The most frustrating thing for me is that the media especially BBC Radio Scotland, barely give our game or more especially our performance a mention, more interested in St Johnstone's paint drying defensive display at Sellic Park. God help Scottish Football if this kind of defensive dross merits the number 1 comments in the media, no wonder Scottish Football is in the mess it's in. God bless St Mirren.
  14. Wonder if they'll turn up with Barry Lavety in goals ????Lol
  15. Listen this whole set up stinks to the high heavens and basically sums up the idiotic amateurs who run our game. If our beloved Chairman and his board have not contacted the SPFL with a strongly worded letter tomorrow morning regarding a comprehensive investigation into tonight's bloody fiasco then the whole integrity of Scottish Football must be seriously brought into question. Do any of us honestly think Raith Rovers will have Ryan Stevenson in goals against St Mirren next Wednesday?? I think we all know the answer to that. Let's put it this way, would such an issue ever occur in the Scottish or English Premiership or any other professional league in the world for that matter!!!! I've played in better organised Sunday League teams FFS. In fact stuff it, let's contact the FIFA ethics committee who allegedly control world football's moral high ground and see what their idea is of fair play in this sorry episode. Do you honestly think that odious wee man Ian McCall would not be questioning St Mirren if the shoe was on the other foot?? Raith Rovers have apparently been running with one fit goalie for around 3 weeks and did attempt to get tonight's game postponed after failing to sign a free agent goalkeeper today. The SPFL however declined their request and dragged our already beleaguered game to new depths and our club into the most difficult position in our history. Thanks for that, much appreciated, Bloody angry and cheated doesn't even come close to how I feel tonight.
  16. A big game for maybe Stranraer, Albion Rovers or East Fife, as for St. Mirren as stated this should be nothing else that a run of the mill visit to Parkhead or Ibrox for that matter, outwith Morton maybe who don't get to play at these big grounds much. Please don't massage the Old Firms already inflated ego's of themselves, to them we are all diddy teams to be treated with contempt, why should we be so EXCITED to play at their stadiums. Both are nothing more than big fish in a very small pond and I for one don't treat any game at either OF stadium as a big game.
  17. Considering this is a game Jack Ross states the players are really excited about just shows how far and how quickly we've fallen. This should be nothing more than another run of the mill trip to the east end of Glasgow outwith an SPL game. Christ, Stevie Mallan says he wants to play in big stadiums, Bernabeu, Nou Camp maybe, Parkhead gie's a break.
  18. Glad to see the football gods have once again conspired to give Saints an easy time of it this season, you really couldn't make it up. I
  19. St Mirren are the REAL SAINTS, everyone else is just fake.
  20. I forgot to say, what part of Fife is Paisley in ???????
  21. Yet another shite strip from our friends at JD sports and the fans council. We only wore all white in the 1987 final for TV purposes as Dundee United also wore black shorts at that time. it was a one off strip for a one off occasion. The St. Mirren strip is black and white stripes end off, traditionally at least 5 black stripes. And these are the people we're going to trust running our club. They can't even get the first team colours right FFS. Disgrace.
  22. After watching the totally bias highlights of our game yesterday the BBC in their infinite wisdom subjected us to a tribute to that Sevco leg end Davie Cooper. This will be the same guy who used to stick up two fingers (behind his back) to the North Bank when taking corners for Sevco and Motherwell and who made totally appalling comments to Fitzy regarding the death of his son. Report that BBC, utter scum.
  23. Drop Agnew and Kelly for starters and replace them with one of the new signings. In fact, shove it, get both of those useless imposters OUT.
  24. Not entirely sure he would be be my choice. The board however have made many great decisions in the past so lets's, ahem they strike gold again.
  25. Yet another uninspired appointment. Wouldn't put too much money on any improvement on the results front. The long, hard season continues.
