Ball Boy (2/14)

  1. Unfortunatley never got to see the real Floyd but did go to see the Aussies a few years ago. Well worth it in my opinion. Shut your eyes and it could be the real thing.
  2. Where did Dempster come from, was it Ayr? Trying to remember him.
  3. Have no recollection of this Dempster guy at all. Agree with your assessment though. Experience is OK but it does not top good quality players.
  4. Liked the look of NI goalie McGovern tonight. He and Dan could be a good fit.
  5. Can't see how the board will be able to offer me equivalent tickets elsewhere for children so I will be writing asking for a refund. Not holding my breath though. I feel this decision may backfire on board as it will further diminish goodwill and the value of their investment in club. I wish they would just give up their seats and allow fresh blood in.
  6. So having moved this season to sit with grandsons in Family Stand we are to be evicted. So much for our CEO wanting home support behind goals. Why not just give them the whole of main stand and be done with it. This is a betrayal by a board that is no longer interested in supporting the club. Do I want move elsewhere. Do I want to renew season ticket for next year. Do I just ask for alternative tickets and sell them to Rangers fans. Are Renfrew playing at home that day.
  7. Really cannot see how this board can do any better than Danny and Tommy. Not on budget they have. Most impressed with the dignity shown by Danny throughout.
  8. Who is this man and what did he say and where. Is it published anywhere I can read it.
  9. Don't know that it has gone far enough to do that yet but would it not be better asking them direct rather than posting here.
  10. Totally understand all that has been said above and agree that fans and 10000hours should be doing everything possible to stop Mr Gilmour despite all he has done for us down the river. I dont know whether I can walk away from St Mirren after 50 years but in the event of a carve up designed to do nothing more than help a bunch of cheats and criminals I will have to give it serious consideration. I dont agree with a condemnation of two directors involved in 10000hours as i quite believe it is down to Mr Gilmour alone. He and the consortium he leads have 52% of shares but 100% of the power and have the ability to do what they like regardless of other directors, fans, or anyone else. As a 10000hours member I look for a statement making our position quite clear. No carve up for a team of cheats and crooks. If we do that there is a very real prospect of professional football dying in Scotland.
  11. I would not be too unhappy with that interpretation although in the interests of clarity I think the wording should include some indication on what should happen in the event of the vote not reaching the the required number. Would the directors be able to make a decision without a steer from the members or would they do nothing. Often the do nothing option is not possible as decisions need to be made one way or another. Without a properly constituted organisation we are destined IMHO to just keep going round in circles, and if I were cynical rather than grumpy I might think that is what certain parties are wanting.
  12. Have to disagree, without a proper constitution agreed by the CIC members in place (hopefully after a lot of amendment from the draft) then there will continue to be lots of confusion.
  13. Agreed totally, and in addition I would want to see some projected figures to show me the effect of TV and sponsors walking away to show what the revised cash flow would be. During the recent voting period I suggested to 10000hours that if we could survive relegation why not Sky walking, and got reply that players contracts were written in way that wages would be reduced to reflect the loss of income . Thats fair enough but if the 10000hours team want us to be paying DDs without a properly constituted CIC and the right to a binding vote of members, and a proper and complete disclosure of the cash flow problems I suspect I will support the club in other ways than a CIC DD. I will not be satisfied will contributing to a purely advisory online poll.
  14. Does 1000hours not have members that are without emails or internet or is that a requirement for membership. Or is being disenfranchised a consequence of not having access to or wanting to use email and internet. Something to consider if we are ever properly constituted.
  15. Just scanned over posts from last night. Really glad I decided to switch off computer in anticipation of too much bullshit. Have switched on again at 6 and will now consider my response to the questions despite other clubs seemingly having taken it out of our hands. Voted now, No No No Yes
