  1. OK, not quite up there with the 4-0 C*ltic game which I also missed because I was away on business, but boy am I gutted I missed last night. My "home" game and I wisnae there!
  2. I'm watching this from behind the sofa. With my eyes shut.
  3. I live 5 minutes from Palmerston but I'm in Somerset this week on business. That should just about guarantee our corner-turning victory.
  4. Dibble, I think your original post is suggesting there is nothing wrong with our squad and our league position is Jack Ross's fault. I disagree with the first part and partly agree with the second. Your detailed pen pictures neatly describe the mess our squad is in: it is made up of old journeymen who are well past their best and young inexperienced lads who have the heart but not the nounce to win games. The squad is horribly imbalanced and Ross, to give him some credit, has acknowledged this. I'm not looking to challenge your player descriptions but your line about Langfield does slightly weaken your argument. Do you want him to be playing every week? Or Hutton? Or Webster? These, and others, have plenty of experience but they are way past their prime and these three in particular are liabilities. I'm afraid the squad is a bit of a shambles and we can at least credit Ross with dropping Langfield and shipping out Hutton. Ross was an odd choice for manager (Ian Murray mark II) and he hasn't shown any signs of improving our league position. He has to carry the can for that. I believe there are plenty of unemployed managers out there who could have taken this shambles of a squad by the scruff of its neck and got more out of them. Sadly we don't have the resources to buy our way out of this mess in January or the internal leadership abilities to make cart horses believe they are thoroughbreds. We can't sack Jack Ross but he is definitely going to relegate us.
  5. It would be good to hear from someone who was at the game. Were we comfortably in front before Baird's red card? Given our performances this season, and taking the respective managers' experience into account, would we have definitely taken 3 points with 11 men? Just asking.
  6. Madness, well intentioned but madness. In the heat of the moment it's easy to say things you regret later but, "Cheesy was better than...."? You'll feel better in the morning.
  7. You haven't read the rule have you? I didn't suggest the rule mentioned USH so why do you?
  8. If we were aware of the state of the USH system for some time and have done nothing about it, I would expect a hefty fine from the SFA.
  9. Sorry Bud but you've got to stop swallowing this stuff. What we lack in front of goal is a wee bit of luck. Until we can magic up some of that we need to get our forwards working on their technique and endeavour. Too many out there don't have the skills or heart to get us out if the mire. We need a striking coach, not a sports psychologist.
  10. Sutton was the only one who looked as if he remotely cared. Keep him and the Kyles, dump the rest. Did anyone think Ross was the right call when he was appointed?
  11. We need to stop talking about this lack of confidence nonsense. The sad truth is the team are rightly at the bottom of the league because the majority of our players are not good enough for this league.
  12. I certainly hope it's still on. I've already got the beer and pizza in.
  13. Born and raised in Linwood (don't judge me) left there 31 years ago and moved around a fair bit. In Dumfries now and still a lifelong Bud. First game I was at was Jim Blair's debut.
