Is Europe on in 5th? Presumably that relies on an OF cup win?
Or Hearts

It wasn't a pen , it was a great call from the ref , and it was confirmed when he watched it again. McMenamin's left leg was caught , but he was already going down when there was no initial contact !
Aye, seeing it back fair enough. Just a bit of frustration and anger.

Solid enough second half. Robbed by two truly inexcusable refereeing decisions. The clear handball leading up to the free kick in the first half & not awarding a stonewall penalty with VAR.
Yet another game that highlights the overwhelming negative impact VAR has on professional football. -
Anyone know how long Strain estimated to be out? Wouldn’t be fussed if he misses the Celtic game but could really use him if we’re in a battle for Europe.

But you were telling us a few months ago that things are going so well both on and off the park
I think the squad looks tired already this season and it is happening even earlier than it did last year. We are what we are, short of resources and with some money wasted on less than impressive signings in the last two seasons we don't have the quality either in goals or in front of goal that we need to be higher up the table. I'll still be happy if we get 5th and 4th is still not out the question (though i believe that McInnes has Killie too mentally strong to blow their advantage at this stage)
If we can move on some of the poor acquisitions and the management team can show that they have learned some lessons on signings then we could be very strong next season.
I think people inside the club and some supporters are realising that if you are not top 4 then you are very much mid-table or worse in this league and it hurts a little
They were & largely still are, do you disagree? It doesn’t mean fans can’t be frustrated & react to results, post that discussion.
I agree with the second paragraph. I think it’s a fight for fifth & a hope that Aberdeen don’t win the Scottish Cup.
It’s a strange thing to say after what will ultimately be one of our best seasons in 40 years but we have so many to move on in the summer. We do have a core of decent players, yes, but we will likely be replacing a lot of players we want to stay as well. And a lot that are under contract already, won’t be good enough to replace them. The summer could be close to a full rebuild.
For me, it’s more about building on previous seasons. Yes, it’ll come a point where we will fall down significantly, but that happens with every club of our size. For the here & now, we should be looking at maintaining & growth.
To my first point, yes things are going really well (in general terms) on & off the park. Look at the reward recognition for the Kibble partnership & the actual league position for evidence of that. But fans have every right to feel utterly sick at the way the last couple of performances have went in the second half.
-
Every St Mirren fan and their dog putting on a Hibs, Dundee double next weekend. 😅
-
Think those last two away performances will play a big part in ticket sales. Taking a single point from two games we had leads in will have taken its toll.
Getting fans behind a team that aren’t delivering for the fans is a big ask.

Sadly we have chucked it this season. Top 6 still quite likely with the points we have already. But getting Europe will be down to other teams.
Awful performance against a poor Motherwell.
-
Strain Free kick off the bar, rebound off the bar as well. Unbelievable.
-
First few minutes, Motherwell utterly ripping our defence apart. Very concerning start.

That's why I think it could cost us top 6.
It almost certainly won’t cost us top six, given the results that would push Dundee & Hibs above us.
But top six isn’t the prize, it’s top five & European football. I am far more concerned now, that we won’t get that spot again.
-
With the Hibs result & remaining games, can see this being the game that we’ll look back on as costing us Europe.
-
Really, really poor. Have not started this second half at all. Completely inexcusable 25 minutes of football.

Dons haven't won a game since Warnock took over. They were beaten by St. Johnstone last night, and Willie Miller openly criticised Warnock after that result. So, surely no better time to play them at the Smisa stadium and give them another doing like we did at Pittodrie last time we met them. And that last minute penalty they got in Paisley at the start of the season still rankles. So, as always.........
COYS!!
We’ve seen this story before though haven’t we? Many, many times, most recently just against Livi a couple of weeks past.
Hopefully not the case but there certainly seems to be a trend of a way to get over a bad run of form… play us. 😂
-
As poor as County were tonight as well, that’s more than we deserved. A truly awful performance.
Tanser needs to give his head a wobble, miles off it by his standards. Seen enough of James Scott, send him back if we can, not even on the bench if we can’t. He isn’t anywhere near this level (and that’s saying something)
-
Just the two penalties in that one incident VAR misses. Handball & his shirt pulled halfway up his body.

Almost 3, that would have been "TV off" time for me.
Already off for me. Rarely go to these games now for this very reason.
Scottish football has been dying for a long time with this level of imbalance. Wish England would do us a favour and take the bigot brothers off our hands once and for all.

If I was Bazil, I'd be very tempted to contact a lawyer regarding the scandalous accusations by Faraway Saint.
There's a fine line between banter and illegal accusations and I personally think it has been overstepped on this occasion.
The wee fella isn’t worth that bud. He’s a well known serial liar & the depths he’ll stoop to, now no longer surprise me.

If it's good enough for the simpleton, it's good enough for me.
Ditto on the rent free, albeit that's pish patter.
What, completely lying is good enough for you? Fair, you do it often.
- 3 post limit- giving up
- bringing me into your wee trolls as a means to get me to change.

It's a forum where people respond to other people's posts.
You then change that into trolling.
This is almost identical to many of your posts, repetitive never ending tripe that only makes sense to you.
You should be careful nobody finds out about the time you were caught acting inappropriately with women at a recent event. Oops.
You managed to last about 15 minutes, that’s poor even for you on the ‘give up’ claim. It was clearly a lie anyway, again you can’t help yourself.
Moving from trolling to making up completely false, slanderous claims. I’m really rent free here. 😂

You latch onto any lie that allows you to repeat, and reoeat and repeat your drivel.
I've tried, as many have, and failed to get you to out of the cycle of posting never ending shite.
Pathetic just about sums up the forum loser, I give up. 🙄
You chose to bring me into your wee weekend of anger after being sin binned. No one made you bring up a previous post from me, you did it because you thrive on trolling & these interactions.
I’ve said many times before, if you don’t want to engage with me, just don’t respond to me or quote more or in this case, bring me into your trolling. If you do, I will likely respond because I choose to respond. (Strange you haven’t been able to grasp that yet)
Claiming you are trying to get me out of a cycle (I have no intention of changing the way I respond) of posts by bringing me into your posts is utterly ridiculous.
‘I give up’ as big a lie as your three post limit. You’ll be back to responding to me. It’s an addiction.

I’m a firm believer that people can post whatever they want on here. (Within reason).
For me though, our St Moan loyal are more people that need to find things to moan & antagonise over, as opposed to taking genuine grievance when the team is performing poorly.
Of course anyone is allowed to disagree with that take.

Did I?
Prove it.
Taking the word of my troll..................you're more stupid than I thought.
Now, on the subject of trolls.
Have a look, go on, at bigyards content and you find, a fact, that around 75-80% of is posts are aimed at me.
Now that's a troll.
I know you'll have difficulty admitting it but as it's almost New Year just do it and put an end to your nonsense.
By the way, you're really raging today.
Another post, tut tut. 2023 has really been the year you’ve failed to keep your three post limit rule. Triggered much?
Liking your own posts to improve your like ratio so you can claim it somehow makes you a better form user. 😂😂 that really is pathetic.
St. Mirren v Hearts, 6th April 2024 - possible sell out?

Keep going back & forth on this. He is going down before the contact yes, but that’s because the Hearts player has barged into him.
The contact is what topples him & stops a clear goal scoring opportunity. The kicker for me is, the Hearts player is nowhere near the ball & makes clear contact.
I’m back to it being a penalty.
