VAR getting absolutely slaughter. Robinson saying he was one of the biggest fans of bringing it in & all but admitting he’s changed his mind (now he’s seen what this version is like). Rodgers also calling for it to be binned. Thoughts on the overarching capacity of VAR to improve the game, what Scottish football has isn’t fit for purpose. We’ve clearly went for the cheap option & it’s made the game worse. Many of us called this.

Tonight was a frustrating one. Not because of the way we played (we were far from our best but you’ll get nights like that) but with the officials not enforcing the new time wasting clampdown. How Marshall wasn’t booked is beyond me. I also can’t understand the thought process in there only being five minutes of stoppages in the second half. Three goals, five sub stoppages, a player injury, near constant time wasting at set pieces from Hibs while they led & three VAR checks, including yet another soul destroying long one (not that the dimwitted Faraway will understand my point on that, because it went in our favour). I can understand to a point, it’s difficult for refs sometimes on making in game decisions. But applying the same methodology to games on stoppages & time wasting should be easy. He should be made to explain himself to the powers that be after tonight’s officiating performance.

Still can’t grasp my issues with VAR after all this time. It’s beyond your capacity wee man, don’t let that make you angry.

I think most have put it behind them (if they even cared in the first place) regarding our fanbase. You’re almost certainly in a small minority. But there’s little change there, right?

The claim by AW was, it wasn’t trivial & the Kibble directors had acted without integrity in what they had done. Hence why they’ve challenged him, it’s an attack on their character.

Surely that’s literally the reality of a defamation case? They’re raising it because (in their view & as we may still see if it’s continuing) what AW has said & suggested about this isn’t true & is an attack on their character.

I have made this overwhelmingly clear, if you still can’t grasp it, that’s on you. I am NOT SAYING the initial application/ submission never happened. I’m saying the scenario never happened. As in, St Mirren land wasn’t sold, wasn’t built on, funding wasn’t secured, nothing crystallised. And it never would have without St Mirren board approval. As such, it’s a trivial matter that presented no material risk to St Mirren assets. Accept that, deny that, reject that, it’s irrelevant in it being fact. For people still to be crying about this a year later, after several fact finding meetings is ridiculous imo. But it shows a nature in some of our fans, that of just not being able to let things go. Maybe I should take my own advice here & leave the moon howlers to fume over a bit of paper, while I enjoy the very successful ownership model that has supported us to 3rd in the league with our best league start for decades. 😀
