  1. Stupidity. No excuse for that at all.
  2. Why on earth would anyone deliberately handball with VAR? Utter madness, complete stupidity.
  3. Did you take into account the repayments? Nope, it’s just a rough estimate but the interest calculation you & your pal have came up with are miles off on current rates. Even the first year interest at decent rates should be more than £2k. Reasonable to get a FRB/ savings account for around the 5% mark & that’s over £4K (before tax) alone.
  4. That’s your view. I don’t think there’s a better use of funds than providing a facility that will provide income for St Mirren without a financial outlet. for me, benefit & progress stops with my football club. 👍 I know, I was just giving my view.
  5. Because it would benefit St Mirren and that’s literally the main purpose for SMISA existing now. It isn’t just ‘some business’ it’s the reason SMISA exists. But if SMISA gift the funds, the money can go back into the football club we all support. 🤷‍♂️ A proposal that results in a stronger St Mirren which would come from less financial burden & retaining all that income to invest back in the team is probably the only thing that would benefit all St Mirren fans.
  6. It could (and should) be far more than that but I agree with your overall premise. Screenshot is for a an instant access account (rounded down) going now. If they put it in a 4 year fixed rate bond, at current fixed rates it would probably be more.
  7. The latest - definite yes for me. Tbh though, I think I’d prefer SMISA to just gift the money if it’s there from our reserves over the monthly contributions Recently, the club has been exploring several new commercial opportunities. One opportunity which the club have decided to progress is the introduction of 3 new executive boxes on the site of the current media room in the main stand and incorporating a small area of the 1877 Club space. As part of the works, the media room will be relocated to the Main Stand Southeast concourse. Each box will have a capacity of 10 persons, and in addition to being used on match-days it is hoped that these new facilities will bring a range of other opportunities going forward such as use by local companies during the week. The club believes that the introduction of these Executive Boxes will bring a good return on investment going forward as we aim to maximise revenue across all areas. This is essential to the long-term sustainability of the club. The SMiSA Board recognise the importance of developing new revenue streams, and fully support the club in this development. We believe the introduction of these Executive Boxes will be mutually beneficial to both SMiSA, its members and the club as a whole. As such, we would like to offer the club a loan to cover the cost of construction. This would allow the club to spread the cost of the works over a number of years, enabling further investment in developing other areas of the Club. The loan would of course be interest-free, providing better terms than any bank. SMiSA's proposal would be an £80,000 loan, re-paid over a period of 4 years. Repayment arrangements are outlined below: 2024/25 season - £20,000 repayment 2025/26 season - £20,000 repayment 2026/27 season - £20,000 repayment 2027/28 season - £20,000 repayment We have also agreed with the club that there would be a clause added for immediate repayment, should certain terms be triggered. We would therefore ask all SMiSA members to vote on the above loan proposal. You can do so by clicking on the below link. Voting closes at 6pm on Thursday 12th October.
  8. I still find it hilarious that they let their club die. When the opportunity presents itself to bring it up, why not?
  9. For pointing out a football rivalry that ended 11 years ago?
  10. You always just have to don’t you? 😅
  11. Golazo!!! Brilliant 🤩
  12. Sure was, happened after the ‘old firm’ died though. Old firm ended with Rangers liquidation.
  13. Need to jump in your Time Machine back to pre-2012 to see the ‘old firm’ do well in Europe.
  14. Unlucky there, was probably going to him without the touch. Feel Celtic are the only ones likely to score. Can see it coming.
  15. Lazio have been nowhere this second half, absolutely dire. Thought they’d settle after their goal & tighten the screw on Celtic. Subs could make the difference.
  16. Looking forward to the game on Sunday, which isn’t always the case against one of the bigot brothers.
  17. Projection noted. I still disagree with you that it was anything other than bottling it. But you’re of course free to think otherwise.
  18. Oh you confused wee soul. People are welcome to other opinions, it’s when they get upset if I don’t change mine, the arguments start. You point blank refuse to accept we just have different views on our bottle crashing, second half versus Hibs. You don’t think they did, I do. Should have been the end of it. 🤷‍♂️
  19. Disagree. We conceded 2 goals in quick succession after a terrible second half start. Our bottle went. It’s a perfectly valid view, it just differs from yours which is why you can’t accept it. You’ve never been able to, your whole time on here. That’s shown by you still being raging about it, around 5 days later. 😬
  20. But honestly never thought I wouldn’t, or maybe you’ve not been paying attention over the years. Always been self admitted I’ll give the fishermen what they want, regardless of how dated the act is. As for Gogic, number of slack passes on Saturday. That’s a matter of fact. His overarching performance aside from that, well that’s individual opinion. He’s played far better for us in mine.
  21. I agree. Fishing on forums & social media is really cool though isn’t it? Don’t let anyone tell you it’s not as fresh & witty as it was in 2004
  22. Far too many slack passes heaping pressure for me today. Not like him.
