Take Note, Jack Ross and James Fowler
Bearsden buddie replied to shull's topic in General St. Mirren Discussion
Exactly, so stop banging on about how Jack and James let us down, about how the club should issue an apology to fans, how we deserve our money back etc as if you know for a fact, because you have literally no idea what the reason for not playing them was. I'm not quite sure why you would ask what i am good at, very bizzare line of question tbh. -
Take Note, Jack Ross and James Fowler

Again you have no idea tho why Jack did not play them from the beginning against Raith rovers. They could have been feeling a bit unwell on the day and didn't want to risk starting the game, They could have had an incredibly poor week of training and jack did not see fit that they deserve a place int the starting 11, The boys that started ahead of them could have had an incredibly week in training and jack believed they deserved a place in the team. You are mearly speculating that it was because jack didn't take the competition seriously, and not only that you are getting completely up in arms about your own speculation, when you have got literally no idea the reasons behind why they did not start. -
Take Note, Jack Ross and James Fowler

You are aware that Jack did play McGinn and Cammy in the earlier rounds against East kilbride and Hearst under 20's. You've got absolutely no idea the reasons behind why they did not start against Raith rovers. -
Honestly you'd think Jack fielded an entire reserve or under 20's team for this game and then told them to deliberately play poorly just for added measure. The starting line up against Raith Rovers was:- Ross Stewart Gregor Buchanan Jack Baird Adam Eckersley Stelios Demetriou Gary Irvine Ian McShane Ethan Erhahon Dale Hilson Ross Stewart Gavin Reilly Every single one of them is a first team squad player for us this season. And Ethan got his first start for us which was good to see as i don't think he played bad at all.

Samson - The Modern Day Les Fridge

Samson had a good match today and was probably our best player on the park. Initially when we first signed him he looked a bit shaky but since the season properly started he has been pretty solid, to say he has been really poor and we have to get in a new keeper in is just utter nonsense. -
Just absolutely out played all game by united today, not much of a contest really. We are incredibly limited in terms of how we can vary the team right now, we have no impact subs on the bench at all who will come on and actually change the game, Sutton isn't a bad player to bring on every now and then, but you can see today after he came on why jack doesn't start him in games, he didn't offer any genuine attacking threat what so ever today. When he is on his game he is a good player for us but too often he just isn't there. We really need a few players in in January that will bring something different to what we have right now.

Is this game all ticket, or is there a pay at the gate option?
-
No davis did not play today. Kilpatrick did played the full 90 mins tho.

Sitting in the upper main stand at today's game and Brian Graham was sitting in the row in front of me, absolutely certain it was him. He was up clapping the st mirren goals aswell. Obviously truth in the rumours

Partick V St Mirren 22/7/17
Bearsden buddie replied to proudtobeabuddy's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
Absolutely abysmal performance today from everyone out there, no exemptions. Hopeless from start to finish, thistle strolled that game with far to much ease, barely had to get out of first gear all afternoon. The players and Jack really have a lot to answer for after that! The most embarrassing performance since jack took over by a long way -
St Mirren V Livingston - Top of The Group Table Clash
Bearsden buddie replied to St.Ricky's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
It's all good and well saying that, but that was particularly dire tonight. It was the same in the game against Dundee the other week, we has a tonne of possession but as soon as we got the the final 3rd we had no clue, all the midfield play in the world counts for nothing if we can't put the ball in the net. Tonight was the exact same. It is blindingly obvious we lack the quality upfront. Jack will be doing himself a real disservice if we go into the season with the attacking quality we have now as it is clearly not good enough -
Just made it back home from the game there. A lot of positives to take from the game today. Was very impressed with the performance of Dale Hilson in the second half, a lot of pace and very direct going forward, looks like he could be a decent player. Samson didn't have much to do tonight, although was forced into making one very good save in the first half, didn't look shaky at all, however will need too see how he fairs in more of the upcoming games. Was Horrible weather up there tonight, but the 5 goals made up for it.

I think most of the players have been away on holiday this week, hence why only 2 people have signed contracts so far.

Really like the designs! Just hope i will be able to wear the Stevie Mallan one next season.

St Mirren v Morton 31st December 2016
Bearsden buddie replied to Mr Zo's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
No excuse not to pick up 3 points today in the position we were in on 59 minutes! Absolutely shocking substitutions from Jack Ross, clarkson has been utterly abysmal in our team this season and that is really saying something, doesn't even come close to deserving a place in our squad never mind actually being brought on as a sub in a must win game. Completely clueless tactics from Ross aswell in the second half, when they went down to 10 men we should have been pressing them, attacking, and putting their defence under pressure, but instead he tells them to sit deep and hang onto a 1-0 lead against 10 men for 35 minutes, which for a team in out position and out defensive capabilities was never in a million years gonna pay off, absolutely clueless managerial tactics from him today! -

It was a hard one to get his foot on tho, Naismith drilled it across goal and Sutton was sliding in at the back but just couldn't reach it -
Queen of the South v St Mirren Championship 6/12/16
Bearsden buddie replied to shull's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
I do genuinely wonder what we practice week in week out defensively during training cause every week we make the same simple basic mistakes that cost us goals that other teams do not seem to make on such a regular basis like us. Every game it's like it's their first time ever playing in that position! -
And normal service has resumed
