  1. Your right, kinda It is apparently in force but they wont charge until June next year. I thought they started at the same time as Glasgow. Whoops
  2. I think you will find that it is mostly children. Why did you pick such corny names?
  3. £9 or less for a fish tea to sit in at Allans is really good value Where i live, the local chippie charges £10.90 for a standard fish super and £11.90 for a special fish supper. It's about £8 for an ashet pie and chips
  4. It will be all but sold out We definitely had the beating of Hearts in every game we played and should not have dropped a point to them last season If this team is becoming as good as many think it is then we should come out on top, as long as we are less wasteful in front of goal.
  5. The doff of the cap was to recognise his grit and determination, referrenced and acknowledged by all at the club. It must have taken a lot of work through a lot of pain to get to where he is now.
  6. Anybody who wants to smash a face in because they don't like an entertainer needs help, urgently. We need to hear the claims of people who feel wronged and I am sure that they are sincere. There is a lack of balance just now because the likes of Saville, Harris and others were well known and their behaviour tolerated by a media that wanted to befriend these people. The media are essentially responding to what they think the public think and will react to, so it's reallhy our fault. John Leslie made a lot of money from property development after his TV demise, his nickname was "the Broughton Shagger" so even if he was innocent he still had a good run
  7. It's not cancel culture, more risk management. As for Gavin & Stacey that was a terrible show and the writers should be in court as well
  8. Delight as Jonah Ayunga agrees contract extension (stmirren.com) I missed this and didn't see anyone else comment. Good news and it must mean he is well on the way back now. Hard as hell to come back from ACL injuries and any lengthy lay off so a doff of the cap to the young man. Hopefully see him getting game time after the next international break as the outlook is another few weeks as of last thursday
  9. £3 40/hour for the metered spaces where the buses park is the best bet, parking is free after 5:30 but beware the LEZ charges if your vehicle is less than cat 5 (usually anything older than 2014) If you want to eat then with a kid the omni is a good bet but parking IS pricey, probably a tenner for the evening or even £12.50, you can even go to the cinema if the game is shite.
  10. Never tried but i always had it down as a chippy/fry up type place Genova is great, Pollo Milanese with maybe a few chillies in the sauce? And a lovely Sangiovese I dont like the Indian near Harvies, I've tried it twice in the last year and the grub is disappointing. I do find the standard of prepared food is generally down in most establishments over the last year, even the mid-upper price range outlets. My favourite place in the last few years was the Birds & Bees near Stirling and they took the signature dish (blade of beef) off the menu and employed a bunch of kids to run the front of house. Allans is still OK, certainly very good value, even better if you are happy with whiting instead of haddock. Most places that sell you whiting just call it fish and people rarely complain about it. It does need a right good re-furb though, those original "period" features are more than a bit tired.
  11. A serious point, if you can't get a supporters bus or drive then the public transport options are OK to get there but a wee bit complex getting home, especially if there is extra time and the usual self-important idiots on VAR. Normal time & VAR will see a final whistle at around 21:45 with a brisk walk back to Waverley for the 22:13 to Glasgow. Extra time and penalties will see the end of the game around 22:20, the only train after that is the 23:13 and you are looking at a 01:00-ish arrival in Glasgow BUT, you can get a tram from Picardy place to the airport and then jump on the Glasgow airport bus to Buchanan, The tram takes about 40 minutes to get to the airport and there are Glasgow buses from there right up to midnight
  12. It should be, that is at least 1 emergency exit being blocked
  13. After a full match yesterday I would say that is on the cards, why would it not be?
  14. No wonder Campbell Money hated Hearts with such a vengeance, seems they tried to take him out in every match he played against them
  15. I got my ticket for this one but the ticket website had a meltdown when i paid for my easter road ticket. Took the money but never offered any means of recording my details for postage. Doesn't matter anyway as they never seem to get round to posting away paper tickets properly so I'll get it at the ground on Saturday. With a ful house and a bus full of maroon clad twats to accompany me across the country the prospect of a win is very exciting.
  16. Keep this going and the only two unbeaten teams could be meeting soon Spmebody's 0 has gotta go, lets hope it's not ours.
  17. I was talking in general and hadn't seen todays game It's not a criticism, just an observation
  18. Hopefully he can take how real he is to the training ground he seems to tire quite early I know it is a high pressure midfield and the players need to be fit enough for the 90+ minute as they can’t be sure they will be subbed
  19. If I wasn't dependent on public transport just now then I would be there, it's a pain in the arse to get to Motherwell from anywhere east of Glasgow. Saving it up for the game in Edinburgh and the next 2 home games, I hope we are in the semis and still in the top 4 by the start of October
