Putting money into SMISA is not the same as contributing to club finances-if you want to split hairs.

I think some posters need to take a step back and consider their posts on this thread.  it seems more important to some to attack LPM, or to try and trip him up, than it is to critically analyse the Kibble bid and comment on the merits of it.

LPM may talk in terms of opinion and be driven by passion for the club, but he is still taking the time to critically question the merits and virtues of the bid.  Maybe, if we did more of that and less of having a go at someone purely on the basis of personality, we could cut through the spin and vagueness that marks this bid out as, at least, highly questionable.

the difference is the number of shares that SMISA can buy-current agreement is for SMISA to take a 75% holding but that will not happen if GLS sells his shares, so SMISA has to propose the change and vote on it

Mainly due to the stick they get from the usual suspects whenever a head is pushed above a parapet

whoever said they are lying?  Not me
Do i think they have been crystal clear in their plans and objectives, no way.  They have led with a very vague statement that allows them a lot of latitude, it leaves their options wide open and their commitments to St Mirren rather unclear

How much of cala homes does Kibble own?
Kibble runs community initiatives that generate funds that they use to further their other activities.  T
And thee is absolutely nothing that would ever have stopped Kibble placing their trainees in any part of the club, or at UWOS catering department, or any other entity at or connected to the club other than they have to compete with others-so why buy your way in if it is not to maximise your leverage.

a veto is a great form of control-you can basically rebuff every suggestion or initiative if it clashes with your own plans

the catering organisation at SMFC is a franchise, Kibble can get crucial influence by blocking every bid for the next contract except the one that comes from a kibble group company
No-one at the club should feel their job is safe now as Kibble could block pay rises, contract extensions and they would have a say over future expenditure cuts or increases.
they will also seek to maximise access to our training facilities for their clients, possibly to the detriment of the playing side of the business.

I am personally most uneasy about the religious affiliations of some of the trustees, a look at their governance structure tells you that it is convoluted and belies the presbyterian roots of Kibble

they get to do what they want by blocking everything else until they get their way.  You understand this.
I have personal experience of working in this kind of model when i worked for a national seat of learning.  The committee model of governance they employed meant that as a business group manager EVERY decision that i made could be called in for scrutiny and could be overturned by board members of the many charities, trusts and companies that were squirreled away within the woodwork of the institution and when I left I vowed never to work in any so-called charitable organisation again.

    No we didn’t
the official score was a draw and penalties only decided the nature of the result rather than the scale of it

Paul McGinn might get 20 mins if we are comfy
also good if Erhahon gets on for a spell
pity the manager hasn’t seen fit to give Mullen or Cooke a start as they could benefit from some game time

I’d like to see Mullen get a run out on the wing
