  1. Ah ok may be my mistake then , I've just messaged George to clarify :-)
  2. The way I read that last paragraph was that he effectively was and I'm pretty sure that's they way it was communicated at the meeting ?
  3. In fairness if he's putting up his own cash why wouldn't he select his own board ? I don't see anybody else rushing to put up 680k of their own cash ? He will also be donating his 8% back to SMISA ...Anne budge will get her money back at hearts and has selected her own board and the hearts fans seem happy enough ....
  4. the rest of the board will be of Gordon's choice but he did state at the meeting that they would all be St. Mirren minded Individuals he also said he would like to have a place for Tony on the board as long as it didn't compromise his CEO role . And he is keen to get people on the board with fresh ideas and proven track records in business . Obviously we can't tell for sure but it's sounds like Gordon is totally committed to this having spent a lot of his own time over the last year negotiating the deal , money obviously isn't an issue for the man , you only have to google his company to see how much he sold it for ...
  5. Good point , I can't seem to find anything on that either but there may well be .... I've messaged George Adam to ask the ? So i will post if he replies
  6. Yeh that's great if anybody can approve members, that's superb to get over 200 in just a few days :-)
  7. Now there is no need to get personal sorry you find me irritating , not my attention to irritate my only intention is to promote the bid which I have been doing through every way I can
  8. I think so far it's just been pretty healthy discussion... I only became a member of SMISA last week as I was impressed with the bid presentation and therefore just trying to spread the word . I apologise if I at any point sound like I'm preaching that is not my intention whatsoever.I was referring to your #gettingmessy comment that you've mentioned a few times now which isn't really helping anyone
  9. Whether fans commit or not their opinions are still valid of course .. don't think it's getting messy at all but by the tone of your posts I get the impression you would quite like it to get messy and fail
  10. Perhaps he just went for a few nights ??
  11. My point is if SG had come out with that figure LPM would have slated him. GLS says it and it's gospel. The bottom line is that it's only worth what someone wants to pay for it. Good luck selling it for 9.7 Million. Pretty sure it was around that figure that SG and co produced in this years accounts, of course what you say is true anything is only worth what's someone's willing to pay but nobody in this bid has any intention of selling the ground
  12. Yep I'll see if I can dig them out but I'm pretty sure it was around that figure, 9.7 was quoted at the meeting last week
  13. Oh and I think your 9 million pound valuation of the stadium is a tad out. The BOD are struggling to sell the lot for a fraction of that valuation. In fairness 9.7 million was the figure mentioned by George and Gordon last Saturday
  14. The intention of this bid is to bring the fans together not to create division . My only intention here is to raise awareness of the bid and get fans to read what it's all about... If after reading the info and going along to a meeting you are still not behind it then that's absolutely fine that's totally your prerogative. No scaremongering for me but the club is currently at a cross roads current owners want out and will sell , I would just prefer if they sell to St Mirren minded people
  15. From what Gordon said at the meeting the fans rep would be extremely involved in the board .The club is currently prudently run of course that will continue , Gordon will still have to have AGMs and answer to shareholders and fans , on the accounts total wages and salaries will be printed , so I think it's safe to say he would be held accountable if wages went over a certain level ... I don't think it will be a shambles at all ... but that's your opinion and I respect that ..
  16. Do you think think the fans would allow that ? We will have an elected fans member on the board who will be accountable to all signed up members so I think it's safe to say that won't happen . Also Gordon is an experienced businessman who knows the club who has also run successful companies so simple business practice will be applied not to spend any more than you bring in....
  17. what new owners are you talking about ? As paying over the top salaries definitely wouldn't happen under this bid .... Simple accounting not spending anymore than you bring in will be the simple philosophy Anyway i get your point about the PA system . I think most agree on that one
  18. I never said I was a spokesperson for the fans at all , I am just very much behind this bid and want to see it happen . I am well aware the current BOD are all saints fans but by their own admission they are lacking new ideas and want out . We are discussing fan ownership in this thread so with an elected fans rep on the board of course that will give the fans a greater voice to address issues such as this
  19. I don't think anybody is question a man who supports the team home and aways loyalty..: purely just having a discussion on his reasons for not joining the bid ... Which of course he is perfectly entitled to do
