You mentioned TOP SIX teams, that inferred we were doing better than other TOP SIX sides, THAT makes your comparison pointless.

I agree we've done reasonably well against other diddy teams.

Do you really think that there is all that much between every team in the middle pack from 4th-10th though? Because I don't really. Hearts are marginally ahead of the rest, but Motherwell, Dundee Utd and Ross County? Not for me personally.

We have only played other Diddy teams.

Still OK, but not a fair comparison.

Yes, but an important consideration is that at the point we played both of Dundee and St Johnstone, they were both in a fight to stay up. That can be a dangerous time to play those type of teams, yet we professionally dispatched both. So yes, it is a fair comparison when not every team around us managed to do that.

  3. Whole team has been sluggish from start to finish today. Not convinced it was the right starting lineup, and Bringing on Dennis is a like for like sub, so unlikely to change the pattern of play, which is what is needed here. Think the game is gone, need to learn from it and move on.

Never had this issue myself, just entered my barcode and picked my seat

As a matter of interest, was this during this evening, or earlier in the day? Might have to be back in touch with the club tomorrow, as they have royally screwed up at every stage with my season tickets, and I wasn't confident of them actually working, so this evening didn't come as much of a surprise...

  5. Has anyone that was successful in the ballot tried to actually get your tickets? The wording on the email is ambiguous as to if you have to WAIT for match day before you can actually register for them, or if you can get them from now up until 2pm on match day. I have tried entering all three of my and my sons' season ticket barcodes as instructed on the email, and each time it comes back with a message saying that sales aren't open and I can't purchase with the account number at this time. Hoping this isn't just (another) problem with my own tickets, but a wider issue.

  6. 4 away league games in a row. f**king disgraceful. Scottish football should get its last rites. SPFL/SFA couldnt run a bath.
You are right of course. People forget that it's not just about fan attendance, but also the cumulative effect of the players constantly traveling, and other logistics and costs for the club being compressed into a short timeframe with lots of away fixtures close together. We're not just talking about short journeys, as if every fixture was either Kilmarnock or Hamilton it's a short trip, but when you're adding in an 8-10 hour round trip to Inverness it's quite a lot. Thankfully there is a bit of a gap either side of that fixture though at least.
  7. Right, that's enough negativity for me for today.
We got close, the players and management gave it everything but ultimately we fell short.
Congrats to St Johnstone on a fantastic season.
I'll leave the gloaters (bizarre people) and the self-flagellators to themselves.
I'm off to get some coffee and watch some youtube videos of puppies and kittens doing cute things to cheer myself up.
Nothing gloating about it. 2 games against Hamilton right down at the bottom of the table in our run in, and we could only muster 2 draws, each from winning positions, it is absolutely justifiable to say that is unacceptably poor when fighting for top 6. We couldn't have asked for a better set of fixtures when we had about 6 games to play, and blew it.
  8. Absolutely pathetic. Completely blown what should have been a certain top 6 just a few games ago. There are no excuses. And for those that say 'well it's great to be fighting for top-6' - yes, but it doesn't excuse how badly we collapsed, and ultimately it's goal difference i.e. not being able to score enough goals that has ruined it for us.

  9. Yes it was, before today the relative GD was +3 for us but two wins for the Fakes and one draw and one defeat for us was always gonna wipe that out - the Fakes have scored more overall than us so it is as I predicted on Wednesday the case that we will have to match whatever the Fakes do in Game 33 unless Hibs equalize.
A humping today doesn't not change the situation - Mon the Hibzzzz!

That was only true before today if you had already written us off for the match today. I wouldn't do that personally, but each to their own!
  10. Why are we incapable of either shooting when we are right in front of goal, and instead always look to make another pass, or with the occasional exception of Durmus and Tait, also incapable of attempting to take on a man one on one, especially through the middle? There was absolutely no desire by any of the team to actually get to a position to get a shot on target. Some really poor decision-making throughout that game. Can't believe we've gone from putting ourselves in the position of easily confirming sixth or above, to struggling to hold on to sixth and in real danger of being overtaken. Very poor again tonight.
