Any saints fans in Newcastle and Northumberland areas up for going to St Mirren games every week next season?
I am a Paisley born and bred taxi driver working out of Blyth and fancy starting to go to games again and I have 7 spare seats in my car.
Prices will be £20 return + match ticket across the board, no matter who we play.
Will aim to be there for an hour before the game and leave asap after the game.
If there is enough interest to make it financially viable, will be going to every game, home and away with exception of Hibs away on 26th of September, Alloa at home on 3rd October and QOS at home on 5th December due to family commitments.

Interesting post. I've a season ticket at Newcastle but do a handful of saints games each season, when toon games don't clash. Generally enjoy a train journey or sometimes drive myself . There are maybe another half dozen of us from down here (that I know of) who regularly go up for saints games too so I'll highlight your post to them and they may be up for it. We don't usually travel together because of different personal circumstances, work etc. Good to know of another local buddie anyway.

Those battleship grey walls are awful. Not homely in the slightest and nothing to lift the gloom of a cold, windswept day being battered by some ordinary/poor side as well as the wind.

I was just reminiscing about Carnegies yesterday, while discussing how Paisley and it's pubs has went downhill since i started coming up in the 80's and 90's. It always seemed busy and lively in there. Enjoyed many a visit.

Fans can drink in the local pubs right up to kick off, why not allow them to do the same inside the ground instead?

I'm planning on travelling up with my son (14) for this, my first ever SPL game.
Couple of questions if I may:
1) IS parking is ok on local streets?
and more importantly 2) will there be any local pubs showing the English FA cup early kick off?

Wonder who by eh? It's more a case of NUFC simply conceding their place in the cup these days. Being drawn against us is as good as a bye. Club has zero ambition other than to advertise Sports Direct to a world audience via a premier league stage. Survival is their only aim.
A chance to see Saints is my only benefit from cup weekends these days. Would be nice to see the 1st home win of the season.

My Dundee trip tomorrow is being sandwiched in between an oh so regular run of NUFC games and bad results. Hoping Saints can offer some relief. Only managed to get to Partick away in September so far. A similar scoreline would be nice.

Like some sort of masochist, im driving up for this before driving back down the road Saturday to watch the equally dire toon v hull. What have I done to deserve this? Guess things can only get better, can't they? Maybe I'll get lucky and see saints/toon wins. Think I've more chance of winning the lottery.

There's an ad on Sky at the moment annoying the hell out of me. They say they bring you "the games that matter", which to my mind implies that games between the 'big clubs', the top 6 matter and the rest are nobodies.

Hope things work out for you Esaciar. What part of Northumberland are you from? There's been a bit of a north east saints supporters group for many a year now. Only a handful of us but we occasionally travel to saints games from Newcastle and its vicinity. Maybe meet up at one of the games.
