Surely its not so much about enticing people who dont live in Paisley to use the town centre but more for people who do, to do so. Obviously as things stand the high street is a waste of space and the shops are low quality, if they lowered rates for businesses, offered free parking, encouraged businesses back to the centre which would have locals coming back, at least to a small extent.

If they want people to return to the centre, make year round free parking the main priority. I dont see how allowing vehicles outside of shopping hours would offer any boost to the businesses in the area, I think sportsters is the only pub that is in the pedestrian bit.

Watched in a pub in Dubai with my girlfriends brother who lives out here, I was gutted to not be going, but two die hard saints in an Irish pub across from a group of Celtic fans watching on the worst picture ever did not detract from the game, absolutely brilliant, to be fair to the Celtic boys they wished us all the best for the final. Brilliant night all round, although it was slightly surreal in a busy pub cheering loudly as the goals went in.

Adam should take the gamble - it paid of for Sammy - he came knowing he would be backup, he was in the team a lot the first year and as a result was rightly installed as no.1 last year and made it his own with one of the best keepers we have had in the past 30 years. Unless you are a first team regular from another SPL club how could you expect to come in on big bucks?
