Howard Hughes in BlueSuedeShoes
That's a f**king great tune you....one of the best ever. Aye, so everyone keeps telling me. First time I heard it it was done as a cover version by a mate’s band. I thought it was one of their own and I burst out laughing at the lyrics cos they were so awful. I remember thinking that not even the most pretentious of sixth years would write such drivel. When the “double decker bus†line came out I was honestly on the floor gutting myself. It was one of the funniest things I ever heard. Still think the same all these years later. I think The Smiths should reconvene and cover some other jolly stuff. Just imagine a Johnny Marr jangly to go along with "OH! Knees up Muvvah Brahn! Knees up Muvvah Brahn!"

That's why I love that tune...the lyrics are hysterical. It's so miserable it's comedy genius.Great tune.
