chico
Highland Park is very drinkable and usually a reasonable price. My favourite is Glenmorangie, but i usually have it neat. i like the sherry or brandy cask type one as it's a wee bit different tasted, but the standard 12 year old is usually fine. Most malts are half decent when they've been aged over 15 years. The Balvenie is another wee gem. have to be honest and when I fancy a whisky in the house, which isn't that often, i've got some grouse and that usually does fine for a wee drink in midweek or whatever. Wemyss Bay Boy
If you're talking blends then it has to be Black Bottle although maybe too smokey for some.
