Smisa Player Of The Year Night

Tennant's Lager

Too true its pish, what about the young team that dont miss a game home or away, I've got a funny feeling you wont get a good turnout because of this.

Indeed Wullie, I'm less than happy about it with the youngsters on the Beggars & CW and have said that to the guys.

They're reviewing the U18 situation now and seeing if a solution of some kind can be reached.

Why? you don't normally have to pay to get into Fury's at 4pm on a Saturday afternoon

The tickets are charged at a nominal price of £2 so we can monitor the number that we can expect to turn up. All the supporters buses were given tickets and the remaining tickets went to Provans.

We are trying our best to resolve the issue of under 18's and will post something tomorrow about this. I appreciate it is not ideal but it is difficult to find a venue that could host up to 200 people or more and would allow U18's.

If its classed as a private functionwhich I assume it is because of the £2 charge, under 18s should be allowed in.

We are currently resolving the issue of under 18's at the POTY. An announcement should be made tomorrow, which should hopefully please everyone. :)

We would advise that the bulk of the tickets have been handed to the bus convenors for sale to their members for the £2 or for free, it's up to the bus convenors how they work it. The money raised through the ticket sales on each bus is kept for that bus and they can choose what they wish to do with any money collected.

The remaining 100 tickets were handed into Provan Sports for sale to every other supporter.

What we intend to do with any money raised through money made on the night or through Provan Sports is to raise cash to sponsor a player next year, which would be under the heading PLAYER OF THE YEAR EVENT 2007 or something similar (not SMISA POTY 2007). The jersey would then be raffled at a POTY event next season. This was explained in the letter issued to the bus convenors. I appreciate it should have been mentioned on here at some point.

Hope this helps.

Anymore queries then let us know.

C'mon the Saints!

Can you get a ticket at the door?

The venue for the player of the year night 2007 has been moved from Fury Murry's to Suburbia on Shuttle Street.

The time is the same, 4pm on Saturday 19th May 2007. Any tickets purchased are still valid. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door on the day.

The issue regarding entry of U18's came around as a couple of the buses wanted 16 / 17 year olds to present trophies to the players. Suburbia have confirmed that this be acceptable on the evening.

Excellent move.

The U18 issue was a killer for Fury's imo. Nothing against the place other than that.

Should be an excellent night now. :)

Please note that tickets are no longer available from Provan Sports and will be sold on the door on Saturday.

Have you had a fall out with Provans?

What time do you expect the presentations to be over?
