Herbie
When I start up my desk top, I used to get a screen with all users on it, so you could just click the relevant icon, stick in your password and Bob's yer auntie. Now, I get a screen that requires input of user name and password etc. I went into "user accounts" on the control panel and tried to change it but I'm getting the message below. In short, I've lost my welcome screen and fast-user switching. Any advice cos I'm a bit feart of deleting stuff in case I wreck the system. Ta. Have you recently installed any Wireless Networking stuff like a new card, adapter or software? I'd say stick with putting your credentials in for security reasons plus if the installed software has anything to do with your works usage policy I probably wouldny mess with it. If you do want to get back to fast user switching read this - there are some good comments at the bottom that might help... http://www.stuckiniowa.com/bcmlogondll-iss...ching-blog-198/ As with most probs with your PC, google can be your best pal. Chances are if somethings f**ked up on your machine it's probably done the same on loads of others so there are usually plenty of fixes and tips out there... As you say, I'll probably just leave it, as the pc's still working okay. It's my home pc, so no work troubles in store. Haven't changed any wireless networking stuff, but I have recently changed ISP and therefore have a new wireless router, so maybe that's the problem. I'll have a wee swatch at the link anyhoo.
