TB1
Apparently we have a player called Connor McGregor on a months trial with us. Was at Lothian Thistle. Don't really know much more about him. He is a 20 year old right back, a free kick specialist but is prone to a red card or 2. Can also cover in centre mid. Suppose it will be him v Barron for a contract. class of 76-77
I noticed a tweet that said Bob McHugh the Motherwell striker has knocked back both St Mirren and QOS, with Falkirk his preferred destination.

bluto
The Trialist currently training with the club is Tottenham U21 Striker Daniel Akindayni Brighton fans thought they had him signed up in May.... A quote about him: "AKINDAYINI.....now this lad, i do like a lot. Big, strong, powerful, quick and very intelligent as a striker. Plays brilliantly with his back to goal and drops off well. He caused a LOT of problems to Villa's back line and certainly changed the game. I'd keep an eye on him in pre season, i'd be shocked not to see him get a chance" I like this speculation. munoz
He sounds promising . A goods scoring record with spurs reserves . Hopefully he'll show up well in training .

He just seems to be a bit too good to go on trial with a Scottish Championship club... Edited June 30, 2015 by TopCat
munoz
I was thinking that also . Would be pleasantly surprised if it is him .

SuperSaints 12
Yh that's what I did. I thought it looked like Akindayni when I compared the PDE photo to a photo of him on Google. Thought Spurs wouldn't want to send players to us after Snoopy

Right; that makes much more sense, given the level at which we're doing our shopping. They do both look pretty similar though. I doubt I'll ever be invited to an identity parade as a witness. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibra_Sekajja Edited June 30, 2015 by FTOF

nosferatu
Doesn't exactly inspire much confidence... A 22 year old striker with 30 odd senior appearances and 3 goals Most of the appearances being substitute appearances... Alan Shearer scored 4 goals in his first season at Southampton and he started every game... I note that he scored against Sevco at Ibrox last season. A hero in my eyes already... Who knows whether he is any good but I wouldn't discount a young striker based on goals scored from sub appearances and irregular starts. TB1
He came on against us as a sub for ICT last year and was rotten, rapid but rotten.
archie gemmo
Why are we considering anyone who can only get 10 games for livingston?
nosferatu
Doesn't exactly inspire much confidence... A 22 year old striker with 30 odd senior appearances and 3 goals Yeh, checked it out. Shearer scored 6 league goals in his first 41 appearances for Southampton. In his first full season as a regular he scored 4 goals in 36 starts. He's not exactly young either, he's going to be 23 in a couple of months. By the time Alan Shearer was 23 he'd already signed for Blackburn and scored 30 odd goals in a Premier League season.... Not the best of comparisons.

Stu
I also thought it was the boy from Spurs. The stories I found online suggest he was getting released as he was working his way round various English Championship clubs on trial in a bid to get a new deal. John Sutton went from Spurs to a trial at Raith with only a brief stint at Swindon in between so it's not that unlikely it could be the guy from Spurs. Definitely looks more like him from the photos I've seen, although I'm not entirely convinced that's how it is. Comparing the PDE photo with ones from the exit trials the Livvy guy was apparently involved in at the weekend I'm fairly certain it's not him. All I'm saying is that his goalscoring record so far shouldn't be dismissed. if he had a decent scoring record then he wouldn't be on trial with st. Mirren!
