So that's Flynn, Kirkpatrick, Willock  and McShane gone, and maybe Hammill. That should allow us to bring in three quality players.

I have not seen Flynn confirmed anywhere yet? (But it would make sense)

Are you forgetting Samson, Brock M, and Coulson,  who are all away too - space in the wage bill for sure - quality, not quantity is the name of the game for us...

Hammill will be a huge loss for us. More assists than everyone else combined and a regular scorer (not that that makes him a great scorer considering how bad we are). We wouldn't still be in the mix if it wasn't for Hammill. Sorry to see him go as he is a rare bit of class and the only guy currently that can whip in a ball. Best dead ball expert we have.

The King is Deid! And aw that.

but agree, if Oran is putting his emphasis on quality then upping the offer ti Hammil and big Anton would seem like the no-brainer of the year.

ST MIRREN chairman Gordon Scott has promised fans that manager Alan Stubbs Oran Kearney has been scouring "the UK and beyond" for the players capable of keeping the club in the top six of the  Premier League.

The Buddies boss is keen to overhaul the squad he inherited from predecessor Jack Ross Alan Stubbs after going into the summer winter break in Champions 2nd bottom spot , just twelve two points ahead of Livingston Dundee.

And Scott has vowed that he and his fellow directors will do everything they can to support Stubbs Kearney’s transfer moves.

He said: “Alan Oran and his backroom team have been travelling the length and breadth of the UK and beyond scouting potential targets, and I am sure we are all looking forward to him putting his own stamp on the squad.

“There are no guarantees in football but you can rest assured that we will give the management team every help we possibly can as we seek to improve the playing squad in what is going to be a very busy summer January transfer window.”

Hmmmmm :whistle

Yeah a really positive start to our fight to beat the drop.

We lose our best player!!! Only this time we dont get 250k

We may well be hunting all over Britain but forget to look in Paisley on what would have been a great start securing Hamil . Off to the mighty Scunthorpe

We can't hold on to someone who doesn't want to be here. I think all along Hammill was playing with us short term for a move elsewhere. He's now closer to home and has security of an 18 month deal.

Why would anyone be slating the club over this? Guy had a contract, contract ran out, he wants to go back south to be closer to family.

That's that, really. There's heehaw anyone could have done to convince him to stay.

Evetyone and their granny knew that we'd likely be losing Hammill and Ferdinand for a few weeks now. Really no point in getting pissy about it.

At least he  is not off to one of our rivals.. As you say he served out his contract and did so well for us - He was a great acquisition for that period - so let's see who OK replaces him with - it could be someone even better, who knows? (Time will tell though)

Oran said they are going to sit down with Adam, so whats not to discuss, we need to attract quality not lose it................

Remember Saints gave this guy his window and back in October Hamill said he wanted to extend his stay...................

Maybe your Granny should have spoken to Oran

Oran seems to be tearing up his own team and The remnants of Jack Ross's team. I thought Stubbzo was meant to be the pantomime villain around these parts?

Ha Ha - He is still tearing up Stubbzo's dross. It just so happens, 1 and possibly 2 of the amazing rabbits OK pulled out of his bag has came and done what he set out to do. It helped us greatly and OK has had some time to find a replacement for the 2nd half of this campaign. You think it would have been better not to have Hammill for these past few months?

Stubbs is not the pantomime villain - he is the complete twat who put us in this predicament - He did not deal with the remnants of Ross's team - and He certainly did not build up a squad of  a suitable standard - Hence why as many as 16 might be off  (Coulson, BM, Willock, Kirkpatrick, McShane, Samson, - this is already and today is the 1st day back after the holidays that the window is open).

Lets watch and see what other tricks OK pulls out of his bag, now that he is actually in charge with an open transfer window...
