Clydebanksaint
Not quite sure who is available in our price range wage wise on the free transfer list but I think we need to look

TopCat
Surprised if we signed anyone now. It was 3-4 weeks so he should be back for the end of the month, and Greive has shown himself to be an able replacement.

Yes. Ok see Urmi and Lyness are on our bench. So either Lyness is not too injured or he's the 3rd choice

billyg
Apols if this has been covered elsewhere , but , according to JG we better enjoy our loan signings for now , because they're unlikely to be here long term. Wolves would want 500k minimum for Ronan , JJ is still on his Rangers contract at Wigan for another 2 seasons and Gogic is going back to Cyprus , to play there and be nearer his family ! Unlikely any of the three will be here beyond the end of the season. Edited February 11, 2022 by billyg

Jim has an eye for a player and we benefit greatly. Gocic - going home. Shame but all the best. Ronan valued at £500k. Someone will no doubt pay it as he is a cracking prospect but it does make the rumoured £100k ish fee for McGrath look really low. JJ - I had thought (wishful thinking obviously) that we had him for the rest of this season and at least part of next with some mates rate deal with Wigan over his wages to sweeten up the cheap transfer fee paid for McGrath. Wigan then get back a healthy, happy match-fit player. Bit of a blow if he leaves at the end of the season. As Jim says enjoy while we can. The difference probably being that Ronan still has a couple of years left on his contract.

We can't afford long contracts and when a player does really well with us we can't convince them to stay. Jim must get hugely frustrated. Rascal
No arguments from me. Three good players that we otherwise couldn’t afford . They benefit by getting game time and perhaps being in the spotlight, A win win.

JJ McG
3 hours ago, billyg said: Apols if this has been covered elsewhere , but , according to JG we better enjoy our loan signings for now , because they're unlikely to be here long term. Unlikely any of the three will be here beyond the end of the season. Part of the McGrath deal actually covered Jones’s wages plus we got cash so we actually done well out the deal as he is a better player and exactly what we were needing so the board deserves some credit for getting that deal. If we were guaranteed the McGinn money I would pay the 500k for Ronan, guy is only 22 and will get better and better plus we will make the money back on a long deal.
