smfcjordon
We should be watching the situation at Dens Park closely. Harkins or Griffiths could very shortly be free agents, and both would do a good job in the SPL. Us and 9 other clubs that are in SPL and most have more money than us

smfcjordon
Name them Hibs, Hearts, Aberdeen, Scumdee Utd and maybe even the fake Saints would be able to offer more than us Edit: Just look at Alan Gow we offered more money and he still went to Murderwell because he had a chance of playing with more established SPL players Also like to add all this is at no fault of DL Edited October 10, 2010 by smfcjordon

smfcjordon
none of them have more money they are more willing to go deeper into debt than us Martin Gilbert £20m - Aberdeen Director Geoffrey Brown £21m - St Johnstone Chairman (Geoff Brown is now the longest-serving supremo in Scottish football.) John Boyle & family £45m - Motherwell Chairman Sir Tom Farmer £115m - Hibernian majority shareholder (90%) Stewart Milne & family £140m - Aberdeen Chairman any of the above could bank roll move for any Dundee players Also like to note that Calum Melville is worth £60m down from £124m last year

From what I know of Dundee, there aren't many clubs in the spl that could afford Harkins or Griffithsand we're certainly not among them. I'd forget all about them. billyg
We've had several right-back trialists over the past 3 months , I wouldn't be surprised if we tried to sign DL's ex Partick team-mate Eric Paton.

billyg
He would rather sign Bert Paton! FYI, Eric Paton is a much more highly rated defender than Mikey McGowan , and it took Danny long enough to make up his mind about him. That would be a cracking move for him, but i can't see him getting a regular game. From the fizzy pop league to the EPL - now that's something. mark_a
A guy on the Saints facebook page reckons Steven Thompson told his pal he'd be willing to take a wage cut to play for Saints because he's fed up not getting a game at Burnley. Hopefully DL will make some enquiries.
