dave.j
Yeah sorry, my mistook. I meant Caley Thistle They are ready to let him go * Story * would be a great signing for you guys, similar but better than gallagher. similar shot stopper. i.e. both first rate. but in his time at Thistle he really progressed. He learned a lot under Kenny Arthur. When he came to Firhill he was raw, but there were signs of a great keeper there. When he left us, he was still shaky under a cross, similar to Gallagher. But you don't know what a change of coach can do? in saying that he struggled the other week v Hamilton(?) in all areas, so who knows. very few have seen him over the last year. so you can only judge him on his Thistle performances. Unless you know some rocket that watches Caly eserve games?
ds10
Definitely a medical taking place at St.Mirren Park tomorrow Long queue of players waiting at the door this morning? Or maybe you mean that a doctor has joined the CIC and is now using the stadium as his/her surgery!! Edited June 1, 2011 by ds10
robert128
If we are thinking about geting another striker anyone think its worth a punt at Stewart Kean, was always willing to do the running, similar to Dargo, but could win headers

He simply isn't anything near the type of player we should be trying to sign. We had Gareth Wardlaw who was also a willing runner and got stuck in, but he too just isn't good enough.I appreciate these guys put in the effort and tried their best. But no thanks, we have to try and move on from players like that if we want to climb the table even a little bit.

Kean has had his day. His career is on a downward spiral! Why do you think he joined Morton and has now been released by them, kind of says it all really that he isn't even good enough for 1st div shite like Morton where he only scored 3 goals. Sonny
If we are thinking about geting another striker anyone think its worth a punt at Stewart Kean, was always willing to do the running, similar to Dargo, but could win headers Are you kidding? He couldn't cut it at Morton or QoS but you want him to team up with Thompson in the SPL? He was rubbish first time round and nothing suggest he has suddenly developed into an SPL striker. Party_Central
Keano quality player 4-5 years ago past it now why dont we have a look at the scorers in league 1 and 2 surely must have a better goal scoring record than Dargo(all Dargo's seasons) n Wardlaw with not as expensive wages

We could see what Yardley is up to as well. Don't think he's got a club at the moment. Edited June 2, 2011 by Jumbo Whiffy

FTOF
Since it appears to be "silly season" on the speculation, what about Everton's third choice 'keeper Iain Turner who has just been released? He'd be a good replacement for Gallagher. He's made a few Scotland squads IIRC. Maybe he fancies a go in the SPL on a vastly reduced salary ,in order to regain his past status,as an international class 'keeper.

Julian Banjos
Mentioned it before, but what about Darryl Duffy? Linked today to St Johnstone and Carlisle. Thompson/Duffy as a St Mirren strikeforce.....
blackandwhite saints
Mentioned it before, but what about Darryl Duffy? Linked today to St Johnstone and Carlisle. Thompson/Duffy as a St Mirren strikeforce..... Duffy is far too injury prone, has been since he left Falkirk. Wouldn't risk him for the life of me.
