northbankboi
Survive the vacuum left by absence of actual football, post your favourite football based/inclusive films: 1. There's only one Jimmy Grimble 2. The Football Factory 3. Goal! 4. Bend it like Beckham 5. Escape to Victory Let the postings and subsequent banter commence
Crispian Crunchie
I don't think I've even seen 5 fillums about football, but I'll have a try. 1. The Damned United. 2. Bend it Like Beckham. 3. Gregory's Girl (not really about football, I know). 4. The Goalkeeper's Fear of the Penalty. 5. erm, that's it ........
EL NOMBRE
Most of the films have been covered already...but another one is Mean Machine...the kack Vinny Jones version of the Burt Reynolds classic. Only good one in it was Jason Statham as the psycho keeper....would love a goalie like that

windae cleaner
I mind some foreign film about the 1954 World Cup Final it was pretty good. One Jimmy Grimble is excellent due to John Henshaw performance"Give the ball to Gordon"
rabuddies
How can you have missed: The Arsenal Stadium Mystery (1939) featuring stars of the 1937/38 Arsenal championship-winning side in action. Yesterday's Hero starring the excellent Ian McShane, who can play a bit (his dad played for the Accies and ManU). The Goalkeeper's Fear of the Penalty. The World at Their Feet - the one about the 1970 World Cup which just showed the football (no poncy stuff). Seen Goal on a long haul flight a couple of years ago - it passed the time. Haven't seen the new one about Cloughie - is it any good?

Bud the Baker
Not a film but Golden Gordon one of Michael Palin's Ripping Yarns. I feel if the central character were real and around today he'd probably be frothing at the mouth and posting on some obscure Fansite. Hobbs, Oven, Kettle, Franks J., Franks L., Barnsworth............ Edited June 10, 2009 by Bud the Baker

You're right about Macca in the social club. Cass is a decent story but the acting was pretty garbage. I'm surprised no one has mentioned Green Street 2.
