St. Sid
Thoroughly enjoyable cricket.....if only all the pitches could play like that. Lethal stuff from Mitchell after all the slagging off he get from the engerlish commentators.

Stu
Apparently the last time England won a series in Australia was the 1986/87 tour. Wonder if that could be an omen for something else

oaksoft
Is that The Ashes won by England ? Yes. Even if it is a draw after all 5 matches England win the egg cup sized trophy. The score is currently 2.5 - 0.5 to England. Edited August 5, 2013 by oaksoft

oaksoft
The title of the thread. You're trying to confuse me aren't you? You asked if England had won the Ashes and I said yes. You then said what about this Summers Ashes at which point my brain started hurting. Now I don't know what day it is, where I am or when I last ate. There were apparently 23 maidens in the match. I didn't know they even allowed women to play cricket with the men. Then they said there were 8 wides which I thought was rude in the context of all those maidens. Finally there were apparently 21 byes. Now there are 11 in each team which means someone wasn't polite enough to say goodbye to their opponents. linwood buddie
We will hear how good England have been all during this series ,not much mentioned about the turmoil the Aussies were in ,changing captains etc ,they will go to Austrailia next time round and get an ass whipping ( maybe that's what a lot of the ex public school boys like ) .
