Extended deal for the Ramsden's Cup with BBC Alba....never even knew they were showing it. Some great exposure for the SFL competitions through the newco meltdown. Has to be good for Scottish football...all the funnier when scumgers don;t get their license - hope the SFL have had the good sense not to include suicidal clauses.

Well over Greens target of 24 hours and with Radio Scotland reporting the license is unlikely to be provided its not looking good for the newco.

On the EBT sanction issue, was it not the case that the SFA stated they would leave it to the SPL, but would be the involved in any appeal if required. If the SPL can no longer put sanctions of the newco does that mean that the SFA will need to get its hands dirty. I'm not really getting the SPL demanding cash in return for dropping the EBT sanctions.

If Oldco are found guilty of having secret contracts then they would be liable for compensation for lost prize money from every team to have played in the SPL during that time period.

Essentially if the EBT investigation is to be dropped the SPL want an "out of court" settlement. Newco has no money so they want a share of the TV money

Happy to help

You must think we're all numpties who hang on your every word.

Beeb reporting potential bad news for the rangers tax case followers:

http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/18972417

No doubt there will be much denial of involvement from the SPL chairmen.

Don't see much bad news in there. Rehashed crap and it has to be outwith the SPL or SFAs gift to completely drop investigations into dual contracts. Some SPL chairmen are probably still trying to get Rangers back next year via reconstruction. But who knows if they can play yet this year. I wouldn't be all that surprised if they're given to about Christmas to make up their minds. No pressure.

If oldco are incent of the secret contract scandal then what have they got to worry about if SPL SFA etc choose to prosecute them. On the other hand if they ARE guilty then they could be sued not only by every club in the Scottish SPL SFL etc but also by European clubs they sucessfully defeated or knocked out as these rusults also should be voided. So for example every team knocked out of their Europa league run could sue for lost prize money TV earnings etc. My God then the h*ns will really be paying for manchester.

What a bizarre response to a post that was asking a question. How can you misrepresent "stuff" when you are asking a question looking to see if anyonecan shed any light on what seems like an odd situation?

Clearer now.....there are two separate issues. It has been shite journos that have been reporting them as being interdependent.

Issue 1: SKY wanting to be able to televise some of the newcos SFL games under the SPL contract. The newco have hee-haw influence on this issue - its between the SPL and the SFL.

Issue 2: The newco doesn't want to progress the transfer of the oldco license whilst the EBT issue is outstanding. As we know the SPL investigation by HMcL decided there is a case to answer. The SPL want an independent commission to judge the case.

Once you take the newco loving media spin out of it, it actually looks pretty gloomy for the newco.

From HMFC Kickback.

Rangers have received hardly any punishment to date, most of the mess that they are in is a direct consequence of their own actions / inactions. Despite what McCoist and others keep bleating about, they've had next to no punishment imposed by anyone, so far.

Banned from Champions League

No they're not banned, they failed to qualify as they never submitted their accounts as per the rules.

Docked ten points

Any club entering Administration during the football season faces a automatic ten point deduction - and it did not alter their final league position.

Rangers were relegated from the SPL

Rangers were not relegated, they are in Administration, could not agree a CVA, and are facing Liquidation. Rangers will be wound up and cease to exist, so cannot play in any league.

Sevco were relegated from the SPL

Sevco were not relegated, they were not, and have never been, a member of the SPL. As a brand new company, they were refused permission to start off at the top tier of Scottish football.

Sevco have been relegated to the 3rd Div

Sevco are a brand new company, they have never been a member of any league, and have not been relegated by any league. They are starting in the 3rd Division, as all new Senior Clubs are expected to do.

Banned from Europe for three years

No, they're not banned, any club wishing a European Licence must provide three years audited accounts. Sevco are unable to meet that requirement, so can not qualify until they do have three years accounts.

Fined £160k

Actually yes, this is a punishment. It was imposed by an independent tribunal, for bringing the game into disrepute over non-payment of approximately £13,000,000 of Tax and NI, potentially a criminal offence.

To put this "punishment" into perspective, this fine is less than Hearts have been fined for Romanov complaining about corruption, and anyway, Rangers / Sevco haven't yet paid it!

Rangers have been punished for EBT's

No they haven't, the football authorities are not even investigating this. They were sent a "bill" by HMRC which they appealed. This appeal has been heard by the FTT, and both parties are currently awaiting the outcome.

Rangers have been punished for Dual Contracts

No they haven't, the SPL have said that there is a case to answer (irrespective of any decision on legality / illegality of their use of EBT's) on the use of undeclared dual contracts, meaning they would have fielded ineligible players, but to date this has not been actioned.

So far the only punishment Rangers / Sevco have received is the £160k fine - that they haven't actually paid..! Everything else they are claiming is a "punishment" is actually completely self-inflicted, and a direct consequence of their own conscious and deliberate inactions, or actions.

Rumours flying about that it is game over!!

Sevco is to be liquidated and McCoist etc have gone.

SFL have also removed Rangers from their Div three table!!!
