Was surprised myself of the view available last Wednesday. the Barr Place surface to the left of the pic has badly deteriorated. You can see the setts of Barr Street from which the world-renowned “Taury baws” were excavated...
Eric Arthur Blair
Took me a while to work out this one... The yellow line is Greenhill Road, the pale blue is Clark St, red is the railway to Gourock and the dark blue is the Dummy Railway,

Judging by the prefabs, I'd say this might still be in the 1940's

Great watch...…………………. (if you liked trams that is!). 1. I remember that it was never a good idea to get your bike tyres stuck in the tram lines - you always fell off 2. When you got to your destination the driver / conductor always came through the gf and 1st floor and altered the backs of the seats so that you faced in the direction of travel. 3. What happened when there was thick snow on the ground, did they not run? 4 What happened in the pea-soupers did they just crawl along at 2 mph? Ah Arnold Palmer proshot golf I remember it well, with the felt putting green and the tiny clubs attached to the shank then my Johnny seven gun afterwards. Boom. Eric Arthur Blair
There was a similar video going around showing Gallowhill, Also one around the West End? Ive seen the Linwood Toll to West End and back video but not the Gallowhill one. Not much will have changed in G.hill other than the changes at Rockfield, Brabloch and McDonald's.
