I ran round that corner right into a girl running the other way and, as she was shorter than me, had one of my (fairly) new (at the time) "adult" front teeth snapped in two.   Oh what a laugh we had.

I would have been greeting. 😭

Fotie taken by Robert or Stewart McLarnon, top flat left, 10 Sir Michael Place.
It was Rab that posted the picture on FB, says he's to young to remember you. [emoji14]

A few names popped up, Ewan Anderson, Jim and Tom Cooney and Johnny Mitchell. [emoji106]

Johnny Mitchell WAS a cabbie for a long time (Did the airport a lot) and is pals with Tom Cooney.

Jim Cooney would be only 74  On June 12, this year.

Robert McLarnon Was a Good bit younger than me.  More ages with my brother, Graham.

Ewen and Johnny are 2 of my 4 best Buddies.

St Mirren Wynd which ran from the Cross diagonally southeast to the river Cart where it met the end of Causeyside Street. You can just see the cottages on Ellis Lane in the background. . A poster on the right advertises news of the eruption of Vesuvius in 1872. The buildings in this photograph stand in what is now Dunn Square.
