Plenty of stunning cars however !

I don’t mind being old, but I definitely miss the Paisley of my youth growing up in the 70s/80s

Bit of common sense health and safety reminds me of serving apprenticeship Haha.

Can remember it always took ages for my bus home from work in Renfrew to Neilston Rd due to the traffic through the centre of the town.

Can also see the Fiesta Bar that i managed to get into while 16  :cheers

Was like that more often than not. 🙂

Got to agree with some of the proper cars in the pic, great to see even if some were Austin maxi's. Awful cars.

My wife 1st car was a Austin Morris and her 3rd was a Austin Allegro

Both was skips on wheels

We had a vauxhall viva with a black vinyl roof with black vinyl seats, great fun to sit in late 70s/early 80s when summers were hot. Like sitting in an oven. My dad worked at car plant but only ever had 1 Hillman minx for short time cos apparently he didn't like them🤣

Wife 2nd car was a Vauxhall Viva that on the whole wasn't that bad.

Can remember going down Renfrew Rd with me working the window wipers with a clothes hanger due to them not working. Arm was wet and freezing by the time we got home

Thank god she drives good cars now.

It was Bailley's before it was the Fiesta. For some reason no-one ever called it the Fiesta.

Most of Paisleys hash was sold from Baileys.People openly smoked joints in it.

Got to admit there couldn't be anything more soul destroying that pulling the choke on a freezing morning and the cable snapping and ending up with it inside the car😭 oh the joys of 70s/80s motoring haha. Along with thinking a mk2 escort wasn't a rattle box🤣🤣
