dave.j
Seems the dot net site gas been spammed and now sells Viagra and there are no updates on here. Do smisa use the Internet to communicate with members and the community? I served for 18 months as membership secretary on the board of the jags trust after being part of a group who ousted the old trust board who were not operating within the rules laid down by supporters direct. So just wanted to know what you guys do and how to keep up to date. Cheers. Dave.

dave.j
Sweet Jesus in a jump suit!!! £10 a month for membership? what sort of membership figures do you have? The jags trust is £10 a year if i remember correctly and sits at about 500 members, but is falling rapidly due to them being completely ineffectful, poor communicators and spineless at a Club AGM! The suggested monthly subscription is now only £2.00 but anyone wishing to pay more can decide where the money goes, for example Youth Development. I will have a look at the website and get it updated for the subscriptions. We currently have 3877 shares in the football club.
Lex
Do SMISA have any involvement in the CIC? Do they support it?
St. Sid
Do SMISA have any involvement in the CIC? Do they support it? I believe they have committed a wad of their cash to the CIC...around £50K from memory.
animal
Do SMISA have any involvement in the CIC? Do they support it? Perhaps the attached file will make their position clear. God help us all if Mr. Atkinson has his way. Edited March 25, 2012 by davidg

Can you scan the letter back in with the mobile contact number blanked out? Hope you don't think I'm being fussy, just don't think you should be posting someones mobile number on the forum. Cheers. TediousTom
Perhaps the attached file will make their position clear. God help us all if Mr. Atkinson has his way. I find your assertion somewhat flawed. Your statement relies on a belief that God (a theological God I presume) actually exists. I must say this is a rather large assumption and one that I find quite baseless. I also struggle to comprehend why, if Mr Atkninson is succesful in his venture, this "God", creator of all living things would have to help us "all". If the Saint Mirren professional football club private ltd company is brought under the control of the fans I fail to understand why everyone would require help from a God. I have given this some thought and I simply cannot understand why certian communities would even be aware of our club, never mind requiring help from such a high level. An illustration of this would be, say the Chinese residing in China, I simply fail to understand why these people would be in any way affected by the fortunes of the Saint Mirren professional football club private ltd company. What form would this "help" be in? Again I cannot understand why a creator of worlds would wish to become embroiled in the detail of a football club and what help such a supreme being could possibly provide to each and every person or even why such a supreme being would want to provide help to each and every person. Another issue I have is that the fans co-operative is clearly in the best interests of our club as the damage that can be done by an individual has been illustrated quite clearly in recent events at other clubs. animal
You are well named. That was very tedious Tom. I am not against a fans co-op controlled by the fans. But in this scheme it is clear that despte what he now says, this one will be firmly in the grip of Mr. Atkinson and certainly NOT the fans. This is not so very far removed from events down the road. The Co - op will rely on public money borrowed by and controlled by Mr. Atkinson.
