10000hours
Thank you to everyone who has backed our bid to purchase the majority shareholding of St.Mirren Football Club. With close to 1,000 members now signed up and having achieved 150% of our original fundraising target for individual subscriptions we have a clear demonstration that the St.Mirren supporters back our bid to bring fan ownership to the football club. We have a meeting planned with the selling consortium this afternoon. As you can imagine this remains a competitive bidding situation. We are at a delicate stage of the process and negotiations can take time to complete. We will provide a further update in due course as soon as we have something to report. Thank you for your patience and again for your continuing support

David Mc
The unspoken message is the other categories are not fully subscribed of course. I hope there's still scope for negotiation.

Drew
Is a joint statement a positive outcome? Some kind of indication would be good. I reckon the very least they can do is throw us a bone.

For God's sake shut up until you have something sensible to say. You make it sound as if the deal is dead. Gie us peace! Isle Of Bute Saint
Have to say get hacked off with all this being in the dark. Something could be said after STV reporting the bid has failed. Lets here what’s going on from the horses mouth. What is it 50 – 50 or 45- 55 or 80 – 20% ? Would be good to hear it here before the press get it
colin b
I'm guessing 10000 hours will be given more time to either get more people signed up or to get a bigger loan. I think 10000 hours should just issue a take it or leave it offer and then it's up to us the fans to apply pressure to the selling consortium. Stuart Dickson
Speculating that the announcement will be a further extension. The PDE carried a report that quoted Gordon Scott saying that the offer may fall a "couple of hundred thousand pounds short" but that he felt it would be worth it. I can imagine a reluctance to accept less than they think is fair but it would be stupid to sink the bid at the point where it seems to be at a peak in terms of momentum. Isle Of Bute Saint
Let’s guess – St Mirren football club are delighted to give 10,000 more time as they are just a slight short fall 10,000hour We would like to thanks all the fans who have signed up direct debits. We are just short of our goal so will work hard over the weekend to get more investors onboard.

The surge in member numbers was very late in the day and there is obviously the possibility of going back to Bii and looking for more funding but those things all take time and I can't imagine the deadline helped. We can all speculate plenty though - but it's good news if the deal isn't dead
