An uninformed stab in the dark ................... Steve Nicol.

I think he still lives in the USA and lost his manager job some time last year, maybe looking for a new toy to play with.

I think we've more chance of Hector Nicol coming in.... boom...boom!

Nicol would be able to get the backing of the massively wealthy Robert Kraft who is football daft. Could we end up with Cadbury as our main sponsor. Bill Lees might get to meet with Cadbury's Caramel bunny.

Hopefully it's that big blazer and slacks wearing American guy who used to come to all the games, home and away, sometimes in the company of quite a few other Americans.

That guy always looked like he'd just stepped out of an Ivy League campus library, and oozed class.

I never did get to the bottom of how the hell he ended up following Saints, but hopefully he's now at the helm of a global empire and is looking for a hobby.

Chatted to a couple of guys who went to games with the big man , apparantly he was at Edinburgh Uni , and wanted to be a football fan for a couple of years whilst studying here , a mate suggetsed that following St Mirren would be good fun , and he became a regular fan few a few years often dragging his American mates with him .He,s now back in Georgia a fully converted Bud .

I wonder what ever happened with this note of interest in our club.

Did the exclusive PDE article scare him off or was it just a load of old tosh?

Anyone know?

Lance Armstrong decided he had too much on his plate at the time
