Naw...

Madmitch's informant was right: HS was Renfrewshire.

Glasgow had several other registration letter combos.

It's taken a while but I found a "useful" link for that old stuff...

http://www.wolfbane.com/vreg.htm

I stand corrected re HS (up to '74 anyway!) but XS was Paisley right enough. I worked In Blane's for a few months and saw a few of those reg's tdi mentioned.

Just noticed a vehicle with regi plate ..

S2 LUY

Couldnae work out what the person's name might have been.

Then i noticed the name printed on the plate under the above regi number.

It was ..

STEWART LEWIS

What's the point of it all ?

He's probably spent a lot of dough on that.

Travelling with my Dad to away matches in the late 60's early 70's, he used to point at other cars and say " that's Saints Fans in that motor going to the game " He said it many times. I asked him how did he know.

He said the XS in their number plate was the Paisley registration.

Wow, really? lol.giflol.giflol.gif

I mind my Dad had a Car in the early 70's purchased from Speirsbridge Garage, down Thornliebank way, it had a YS regi.

My mum had an HS plate on a car, purchased from Hamilton's Garage on the Glasgow Road.

Even better, you're on fire. thumbup2.gif

Lurking. lol.gif

Having an argument with the voices in his head.

You'll upset him with a crack like that.

Ye know he's lacking in the sense of humour department.

Mind you, he revels in being offended like a Sellik or Newcunto Fan.
