Just watched Southhampton V Arsenal.

Now, that's how to play against 'superior' opposition clap2.gif

Play to your strengths.

Like us, the other Saints are strong going forward and were unlucky not to get more out of the game.

If Danny abandons the 'footballing philosophy' he's always banging on about we'll lose (as we did recently against them)...end of.

Sellick are good, but not that good.

If he sets us up to put them on the back foot, then we're more than in with a chance.

COYS!!

"We're going to score one more than you!!" punk.gif

ps....I do appreciate it's an Eng-ger-land song, but to me it's what football should be all about cool.png

Spot on I feel! We have nothing to fear. St Johnstone, Killie and Arbroath among others have proven that already this season. Celtic will have their minds on the Champions League from about now onwards, and still have the SPL and Scottish Cup probably higher up their list of priorities than this. That's not to say we shouldn't be cautious of their ability, but if we take the game to them like we did against Killie, and stay calm and steady at the back, we have a good chance.

A lot depends on signings and availability between now and then, but based on our current squad, I'd be happy to start with the same line-up as the Killie game but I'd drop Guy in favour of Imrie, who could become a left midfielder when we don't have the ball and support Thommo when we do. We need players who are good on the ball in this game and Guy is not one of those. We also need 11 men to stand up and be counted and Guy is anonymous too often. At least Dougie puts in a power of a shift in midfield and is the nippy kind of player required on occasions like these, even if he lacks the final product too often.

All in all, we are hitting form at the right time. We have had the big days out and the huge disappointments; time for St Mirren to be that team that rises to the occasion and makes a name for itself. It's been far too long since we did that. Surely, we are due some luck?

Just been humped at home.

Lost our left back.

Haven't scored against Celtic under Danny Lennon.

Gary Hoop-licker is scoring for fun.

Odds are against us.

We'll win this.

FFS Bud. TKF.

This afternoon was all about keeping the Celtic in a false sense of security. Next weekend is a new ball-game.

Looking forward to this taking Monday off work and flying back from Birmingham Friday. Going to make a day of it and enjoy no matter result. Would love to do this on penalties with that f**k wit Scott Brown skying his penalty and Thompson slotting in the winner.

Not a hope in hell bud, our defence is shocking and they have just banged in 4 goals against a far better defence than ours. Game could be over in the first 10 mins.
