Worth noting that in his first season for us he scored 5 goals in 38 games, mostly from the subs bench Parkin has scored 3 and Guy 5 in considerably fewer appearances. So hope for these boys yet.

I'm not convinced either of them will be around next year. Parkin is out of contract and Guy, although he is, didn't even make the cup final squad.

Yeh, I wish it was in Paisley, it is actually in Elderslie , as was the old Crysler plant. .

Afraid not Neil.

The boundary is the railway line at Linwood Toll.

Elderslie starts at the tenaments after Aldi's but the railway bridge leading to Linwood Road is Paisley.

Linwood doesn't start until after the roundabout leading to the motorway

Oban is not in elderslie, is elderslie not just a suburb of paisley, never heard of elderslie town hall so is it a town ?

It has a village hall. .wink.png

More likely, a suburb of Johnstone now , it is part of the address. .Asda Johnstone maybe . .

Linwood doesn't even have a village hall and is indeed a suburb of Paisley. .

There used to be a sign saying , welcome to Elderslie just as you were leaving Linwood near , the Innkerman road turnoff. .zorro.gif

Yes , you are right Colin. .

The sign you refer to on the Main road has been there since Shull was a boy. However , see my other post about another Elderslie sign adjacent to the the Innkerman road turn off. .

The big Cat fella , misquoted me a wee bit anyway , but l like that . .

. .anyway, we are gettin' way off topic here. .

Afraid not Neil.

You can,t take the c**t out of Scunthorpe

Although some might argue that Celtic did

Reminds of the question , three football teams with swearwords in their name

Arsenal ,Scunthorpe and Greenock f**king Morton

Should it not be Partick f**king Thistle what with the Morton love in on this forum?biggrin.png
