No goals for the first 20 minutes or so then action at both ends. Some tired legs tomorrow i`ll bet for the guys who`ve been absent for months & played tonight. & Dont forget to cast your MOM vote. The Non bibs had to play the first 20 mins with a man short in which time the bibs grabbed a three goal cushion, despite pegging them back to two on several occasions , the nons could not quite find the couple needed to get back on level terms. Invites have gone out for next week. Lets get those responses back in plenty of time. Remember to cast your MOM vote for tonight & Remember to bring your boots /trainers for next week !!! We are all there to play football, tonight saw the return of the gratuitous "Hand ball" after i thought we`d managed to kick it out of the game. It has to stop now, it spoils the game for everyone. The amount of verbal abuse dished out to fellow players tonight was unacceptable, this is meant to be competitive but enjoyable. Lets rein it in a bit guys. There seems to be an element of unsportsmanlike conduct creeping in at times, heels getting clipped, deliberate blocking , etc .... again , lets get it stopped now. We want the game to be hard fought but fair & of course we want to win but at what cost ? If you have particular grievances with other folk and feel the best place to have it out is in the dome on a Wednesday ...... don`t bother turning up. There`s lots of people waiting for a game. It was a full 15 minutes before the Bibs were able to get the ball in the net but by that time the game already looked beyond them. Thankfully though , the game was played in the correct spirit from start to finish ..... if a little bit "Continental" paced at times due to the heat in the Dome. Looked like we were never going to score, think we hit bar or post 3 times before we actually found the net. If one or 2 of them went in, it could have been a much more competitive game. With only one goal in it, the game seemed to turn when the non bibs went down to 7 yet still managed to rattle in three goals to give them a four goal cushion . The Bibs threw everything at it & despite coming up against Stef in goals in sparkling form clawed it back to one. But all out attack left gaps at the back which the Non bibs gratefully exploited. The game was deadlocked till halfway when the non bibs grabbed a three goal lead. The Bibs fought really hard to get back in to the game & somehow managed to turn a three goal deficit into a two goal advantage. Last fifteen minutes & it was the turn of the non bibs to gain the upper hand & despite pressure from the Bibs , that one goal was enough. The bibs attacking flair was just too much at times for the non bib defence but had the bibless wonders attack taken a few more of their chances up it could have been a lot closer.
