Danny Says No More Signings

Recommended Posts

Another season, another alias. lol.gif Funny how, no matter what dafty name you dream up, your spotted bangin.gif

Same old tactics, picking over the bones of other posters, playing the game, rather sad. bye1.gif

A seriously large screw loose . 1eye.gif

Same old lack of debate, lack of a point of view, posts full of abuse and smilies.

Aye, you've said this before.

Nice in "La La" land, in the real world, a massive gamble that could, and IMO, would see us in serious trouble and back into the depths of the lower league.

Run along, you're better dealing in the wee boys leagues. bye1.gif

Really? I mean I think St Mirren are shit but can you really see Hearts even getting back to "0 points" before Christmas

What's wrong with using this season to give the kids a chance though? Hearts are 15 points behind before a ball has been kicked. Their squad has been decimated and they are unlikely to turn the season around. The St Mirren board have hardly shown ambition in terms of European Qualification through the league in the past so why would they start now. What's wrong with keeping the wage budget tight, letting the kids have a run out and accepting that you are going to get a few right good going overs by the few teams in the league that will be trying this season. Profit is sanity after all - and the club has to somehow make up the shortfall in funding from that ridiculous inflatable they bought. rolleyes.gif

It is indeed one of the great contradictions of this forum that so many posters demand we sign a load of new players AND play our own youngsters...

Pointless conjecture judging this transfer window now. We won't really know how successful Dannys squad management this summer has been until around January time. We can only hope his performance in this window is a vast improvement on his last three.

Newton & Goncalves were pretty successful signings in the last window.

Without them we wouldn't have won the League Cup and we would have been relegated.

Sadly it would appear not.

I thoroughly enjoy a well thought out and informed conversation as much as the next (educated) man. However as often occurs on this fine forum some of our less desirable posters show that they are unable to hold a conversation without swearing or insult making.

That would hold more weight if you hadn't just called a fellow forumster (can't recall his name) a bar steward not two posts before this one.

Hearts are selling thousands of season tickets and they're banned from signing players and have been deducted points. TT had lost it.

Oddly enough, it was announced only yesterday that Hearts have currently sold approximately 50% of the number of tickets they had sold at this stage last year. And they REALLY need the money. I honestly thought we might have taken Ryan Stevenson from them. He says he is willing to stay, but that is usually the case until a better offer comes up. We should make one.

To be fair to Tom, that "abuse" was in retaliation to you decreeing that we should all go back to sweeping the streets as we knew nothing of negotiation or some other highly intellectual, self indulgent rambling nonsense.

The only surprise is that you took a few hours to respond. What was so important tonight that dragged you away from trolling the forum?

Eight pages now devoted to words that Danny didn't say. Amazing. Have any of the so-called St.Mirren supporters who despise Danny had the guts to admit yet that they wish we hadn't won the League Cup? I bet they exist.

Gowser's article last month when he signed said that Lennon had promised we would be signing some high quality players and thats a reason why he chose to re-sign. Obviously the goalies are not really in that category so it just goes to show that everything is not as is said in the press (despite the same nonsense the last two years from him).
