dmc Posted July 14, 2013 Report Posted July 14, 2013 (edited) To be honest, it shows what Morton fans think of this game, it's hardly got a mention on our forum! Which to be honest is not surprising as our forum seems to be full of trumpets at the moment! eta....and has been for some time! Edited July 14, 2013 by dmc
Wilbur Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Since Andy Murray's win at Wimbers does that now make Morton's wait to win the Renfrewshire Cup the longest unfulfilled sporting achievement ? Could lightning strike twice ?

oaksoft Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 I love you had to edit that. In fairness his use of the word "trumpet" beats your lame "diddy" any day of the week.

billyg Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 lame "diddy" Why have people always got to bring Alan McGraw into it?
Wilbur Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Why have people always got to bring Alan McGraw into it? Oh we had Yardley, and we had Ludo, ...............................
Lex Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Tell you something, a loss here won't go down well at all. I know it's a friendly and all that, but it's the most competitive friendly we play, and losing to them is never okay, particularly in Paisley. We seem to be a good bit behind everyone in terms of pre season games - I have no idea why but we are. Despite that I'm backing an easy victory for the Saints. 4-1.
Hambud Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 0-0 with Rotherham and 1-0 defeats to Sheff Utd and the fakes? They pumped Motherwell 3-1 did they not? I don't know much about Rotherham or Sheff utd but I've seenus getting pumped by the fakes more often than I would care to say.
Scabby Dug Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 I would like to see a striker signed before Saturday as, against Rotherham, we didn't score any, but, again, maybe we need a defender as we lost 4, mmmm

Murray7 Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 West Stand just about full, according to SMFC Tickets; less than 100 seats left.
W6Saint Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 2-1 Morton. Beginning of the end for Lennon.
Murray7 Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 2-1 Morton. Beginning of the end for Lennon. I admire your optimism.

I doubt anything would top the knickerwettingfest that followed our 2-2 draw with East Fife in Lennon's first pre-season.
dmc Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 2-1 Morton. Beginning of the end for Lennon. Dougie Imrie double.
FTOF Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 Dougie Imrie double. I think a hat trick, then he'll get sent off for baring his arse to the saints support, then following through.............. Then we'll go on to win 4-3.
cornbeef Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 (edited) A wee bit of interest added with the news of Dougie Imrie signing (on our official site). It's really not our' game of the season.' It's a pre season match with a wee bit of spice added. A half decent turnout gives both clubs and the Renfrewshire FA a few quid. I'm quite looking forward to it Edited July 16, 2013 by cornbeef
Lex Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 I doubt anything would top the knickerwettingfest that followed our 2-2 draw with East Fife in Lennon's first pre-season. I don't recall that game but the knickerwetting certainly turned out to be justified. What an awful season that was. How many pre season games have the Ton played? I know some SPL clubs - even the ones that aren't in Europe - have racked up 4 or 5, we have played 1. Reports from Marbella were that the Charlton lads were considerably fitter than ours, which shouldn't be the case as our seasons open on the same day.
Saintgaz Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 Im fearing the worst for this game our squad isnt in great knick and really could see morton putting a few past us. ive been wrong in the past though and thommo will probably get a hat-trick now ive said this
