davidg
Twitter was saying DVZ went into midfield and Robertson played the rest at 90mins.
Frank McGarvey' wonky legs
Did he play in midfield or did he play right back with Robertson moving into mid? If we were really trialing Robertson as a right back, he should have stayed there for the full 90 mins. Robbo played right back for whole 90 mins with Vanzy as holding midfielder. Drew
Robertson has always been described as a 'box-to-box' midfielder, so, to stick him in at right full back would be to introduce (to use a hideous US term....) something of a curveball. That said, if he has the attributes, it might be worth considering, and I'm sure they've looked at it in training (*coughs*). No real harm in exploring the option, though, and who knows, it might just prove to have been a stroke of genius.

Wow! Using a hideous US term....that is something of a curveball. We will need a new right back for the next game at least (with Barron injured and Vanzy suspended), sounds from this like Robbo is worth a shot.... Saint Garf
I suppose he'll just need to be. We've tried McAusland there before and it didn't work. Other than that you're looking at playing one of the youngsters from the start, may not be the worst thing, but it would really be a baptism of fire for any of them. Leicester Saint
To be honest, it's a bit of a joke really that professional footballers can't all step into any position without too much difficulty. In this country, from a very young age, you see people playing football in 'their' position. Go to Holland and kids are MADE to play everywhere so they understand the game better and are more adaptable. In Scotland players even have a particular foot they kick with!! For most, the other legs mainly for standing on! Anyway, lets hope Robertson can adapt well to this. Another option if nothing else.
