Snp Caught Lying Yet Again....

Stuart Dickson

Ofcourse it's lying. You publish a paper saying that you are creating 34,000 new Scottish jobs. It hits the headlines in the press, you wheel out all your cronies to boast about it, loads of media coverage and then three days later you quietly correct the figures to show that actually you'd completely f**ked up - that's exactly how the SNP work. The sooner Scotland wakes up to these deceitful fannies the better.

For once, i agree with StuD. They need to learn from Westminster how to do it properly:

Don't worry Stu, the YES campaign is dying on its arse.

How do you work THAT out? The polls suggest YES have the momentum.

What have the NO campaign got to offer? (Other than negativity)

Not surprised at all. Whether it's Labour or the Socialist National Party lying is what left wing parties do best. However with the development of shail gas fields in England and depleted oil stock in the North Sea is it not now possible that Dennis Healey could be lying once again to cast of the drain that is Scotland. Stupid tartan clad nationalists will lap shite like this up all day long without ever engaging their tiny brain first

And they'd never, ever do anything illegal to get an edge (apart from start a war, of course)

Got to love the Telegraph, they still manage to turn the latter half of the piece into a rant against Yes Scotland....StuD's kind of paper

:)

Tell me how Scotland is a "drain" ???

If it was - why are the Unionists so keen to cling on to us?

It wouldn't be the BAWA forum without Dickson trolling all over it. lol.gif

Only the truly thick would believe politicians ever tell the truth.

Every politician lies and/or distorts the truth. Every single one of them.

From every party. In all of our democratic history.

And in every country in the world.

It's as depressing as it is inevitable.

Which polls suggest that?

As much as I want independence my fear is that it won't happen.

After years of anti-English whining people will vote no through nothing more than utter cowardice.

They'll try to justify it on some dodgy economic claim that we'll all be 0.000064 pence worse off but it'll be cowardice at the heart of it. A fear of taking responsibility for your own affairs.

There aren't enough of us with the courage to take on that responsibility.

Those saying that the negative campaign will backfire are simply misreading Scottish people. I used to believe it would backfire too but the polls provide proof of quite the opposite.

We WANT to keep blaming the English for our ills. We want things to stay crap.

Fear is a powerful motivator. The NO campaign are successfully making up random bullshit fears and then saying they'll protect us from the rain and IMO cowardice will win the day. We have people in this country prepared to believe we'll have higher mobile phone bills to justify their fears.

The positivity and light of the YES campaign cannot compete with the darkness of their opponents.

I expect the polls will end at 65% voting for the Union.

Then everyone will express shock when the NO campaign prevent further devolution they promised and the cowards who voted NO will have a new bogeyman, the YES campaign will pick up again thinking they now have more supporters and this cowardly charade will be repeated every 30 years for ever.

It's a shame.

Not the first political party to massage figures Stu. Your favoured side of the fence have done worse in the past. Like starting a war to win an election.

Now. That's fannies for you!

We won the war though and it had legitimacy - so much so the Americans were against it. The wrong side of the political spectrum tried to copy the idea and led us into an illegal war in Iraq and an Un-winnable war in Afghanastan

I don't think they are to be honest. If they were "so" keen to hang on they wouldn't be allowing a referendum. Scotland has lost it's value. If it had taken Independence in the 70's then it may have had it's spell as a rich country - although the Socialists, Communists and one eye'd Trotskyites that would inevitably have run the country would have spunked it all away anyway and the country would certainly have been the broken basket case of Europe had the banking crash happened without Scotland being able to call on the help of the rest of the UK to save it.

These days Scotland is little more than the run down slum on the outskirts of an otherwise rich and powerful country - something that has far more to do with the fact that it's devolved parliament has put into power imbecilic third rate politicians - the kind that wouldn't have been elected to a parish council in the 70's - who think raising taxes to give rich people free medicine, and to pay landowners to put little windmills up in their garden is justifiable.

I am actually in agreement with that. In fact I am firmly of the belief that Tony Blair should be rotting in a prison for deliberately lying to parliament over the Iraq war. Tommy Sheridan is clearly a dishonest sexual deviant and the Lib Dems turn on a ha' penny at the slightest hint of any political advantage.

Unfortunately the record of the Conservative party exposes them also as incapable, greedy and good for nothing and happily they will never gain any sort of decent vote in Scotland during my life time and that of any us currently inhabiting this planet. To be fair I shall cite only one reason for my total disgust of this party and I give you the poll tax that was forced upon Scotland before any other part of the UK.

My Dickson has (accidentally I am sure) illustrated wonderfully why Scotland will be better off voting its own political representation for its own independent parliament to represent the people as the people wish. Westminster has woefully let the Scottish people down over the last half century and I for one will be proud to vote yes and I hope to see my country win its freedom in a way that we can all be extremely proud of (democratically and completely without bloodshed - Northern Ireland take note of the SNP) .

I have also come to think that a football forum is not the place for such discussion and that in starting such a thread Mr Dickson has been a bit (accidentally I am sure) bellendy.

Sorry Mr Dickson but you are making me quite angry. Nothing you have said is in any way true and all you are doing is running down my country without basis or justification. If that is your opinion then one must marvel at why you choose to live here? Or is it that you are just a blowhard who is guilty of typing without thinking?

In any case you should leave my country as you are clearly not happy here.
