Guest somner9
Don't know where you're getting your stats from, but you've managed to get them both wrong. Guy scored 6 and Parkin scored 3, 9 goals between them, and the majority came at important times. Not bad for a couple of players who spent the majority of the season out the side. The point is they lightened the load on Thommos shoulders. When the big man needed a rest we had experienced proven strikers on hand to come on in his stead, or to even start games as they did before the cup final. Parkin came on in the final itself because Thompson was tiring badly. Who can we bring on if he's tiring badly on Saturday? someone capable of still scoring goals will do nicely! have you given Danny the privilege of your wisdom? because he seems to be getting on with it quite well at the mo. FTOF
Looks we may not be rid of him. Nice tried to loan him to Bastia, whom he has been training with for several weeks, but as he cannot play for three teams in one season, the French FA knocked it back. His manager at Nice , Claude Puel, says, "He will finish the season on loan at St.Mirren". There is a short article in today's Sunday Mail. Frank McGarvey' wonky legs
If he bogged off back in November even if he has trained with another club he would be nowhere near match fitness. Couldn't get on when here and fit so can't see him anywhere near the first team anytime soon. On second thoughts Danny will play him as the holding midfielder today!! FTOF
why does he not stay at his parent club are saint mirren obliged to take him back? It will depend on the terms we agreed with Nice. We may well have had a cancellation clause inserted into his contract and their manager is talking pish. I'm sure we'll find out one way or another in the course of time. davidg
If he's here, we may as well utilise him. Yeh, we could get him to drop Danny Grainger off at Penrith on the way to France.

If we're paying him, we should play him....esp if Thommo's not fit as some posts are suggesting. How many times has he payed for us- 4? Maybe we won't have the choice to write him off so soon... WirralSaint
If he's here, we may as well utilise him. What as....ballboy? Never been as embarrassed for a manager as when I saw his 'performance' v Partick after being told "This is the one we've been waiting for" Was like the George Weah's cousin incident at Southampton.
