Spam_Valley
These guys are doing their best, The above post is incredible. Have we really seen their best efforts this season? Especially last night. They look like a group of players that couldn't give to donald ducks if we win, lose or draw. They deserve to be told exactly how/what we feel. Especially as we're paying £20+ to watch our 'superstars' perform pathetically.

The old "they aren't trying" line doesn't wash with me. We lost and that is a shame but we didn't lose because the players weren't trying. Spam_Valley
For 45+ minutes last night we witnessed our team try, try and try again to win a game and failed miserably… AGAIN. If that’s the best they have to offer then I’m afraid it’s not acceptable & I refuse to believe that last night’s second 45 & extra time actually was their very best efforts… There’s something badly wrong if that is seen at their best efforts to win a match. A team like ours should be comfortably beating Queens, no doubts. I’ve yet to see us play football properly this season. ICT away was deplorable, Killie at home was pedestrian & lacked any real movement or urgency - until Boyd had that moment of madness (and we still couldn’t win) & the less said about Saturday the better. What we’ve watched so far this season is far from the squads best efforts and its worrying.

Especially as we're paying £20+ to watch our 'superstars' perform pathetically. Were you there last night? I would wager that either you weren't there, or if you were you are seeing what you want to see. The players are completely shot of confidence and don't look like they know what they're supposed to be doing. There is a huge difference between that and not trying their best. When it's the former then they should be given the full backing of the support. The players know it's unnacceptable, it isn't news to them. Last night wasn't too bad actually, in terms of our support. They were generally quite positive and I didn't hear many calls for the managers head. Dingwall on the other hand was the real sickener for me. The personal abuse directed at the players and Danny Lennon was awful, and really gets you down when you realise you don't want to be associated with a cross-section of fellow Buddies. ulysses
Anyone who was there last night knows that the players did try after they came out for the second half. They really did. Unfortunately it was purely tactical decisions that done us in. I also agree with Div's initial post. It's perfectly reasonable to voice your discontent, but when it spills into personal abuse directed at staff, players, etc. then it's just moronic and counter-productive. FTOF
Can I ask how you know I was trying to use that word in any way other than in the context I did use it? Can I also ask, have you reported any of my posts to the moderators? Finally, did you know that once upon a time I posted (on B&W Army I think) that Paddy McCourt was Celtic's kind of Irish signing because he played for the R.O.I, while Kyle Lafferty was Rangers kind of Irish signing because he was a Proddy Norn' Iron' type? The reponse I got was 'Poz, you've made a rip roaring cnut of yourself there'... which indeed I had. Just like you did with your highly personal, vitriolic, and incorrect allegations directed towards REA only being involved with St Mirren for personal gain, honour, awards, boardroom positions... followed by you subsequently now going on to be on some sort of moral crusade against calling people you don't know personally 'names' on forums. Do me a favour. Report me to the moderators, and show me where I have called you a 'cnut' in the terms you are alleging that I did... do it, or shut the fcuk up. Ignore the **** Poz. We only ask them to give 100% for that time. As paying customers I think we can forgive failure but not lack of effort throughout. Surely it isn't much to expect these professional guys to absolutely bust a gut every minute of every match? FTOF
On the note of personal abuse, does anyone know anything about this allegation below? http://forum.followfollow.com/showthread.php?t=972526 I've never heard of a supporters bus with a stand in it. Must be load of shite. Both McLean's father and uncle who go to our games are diehard blue bigot followers and hard as nails too. Last year at the first Dundee away game one supporter mad a ridiculous statement towards McLean, wishing him an injury so that he wouldn't be on the park any more. McLean's father who was sitting in front of him, was so angry he got up and took a time out in order to stop himself lamping the "supporter". His uncle had rather aggressive words with the supporter. So, maybe something did happen.

This story is a load of rubbish! Kenny's dad was angry at the abuse Kenny was getting from one of our fans, he left at half time to cool down. No more to the story than that. Typical from that lot. Kenny's dad was angry at the abuse Kenny was getting from one of our fans, he left at half time to cool down. No more to the story than that. Typical from that lot. That's exactly what he did in Dundee. He told me that he can take fans criticising Kenny when he's playing badly, but when personal abuse starts just for the sake of it, from some loud mouthed arsehole (the posters on here of this ilk will recognise themselves from that description), that's when he gets angry. faraway saint
I fully appreciate that, David and you're right. The thing is though, Div has obviously read some of the posts and therefore he, as the Chief so to speak, has the ability to warn people. If he or you see something then it's easy to sort out. I don't like reporting people and would use it as a last resort. I don't like to see people banned either, however if someone goes over the line they should be dealt with even if it's been someone who's been a member for years or is even a mate of the people running the website. A wee PM should work wonders in my opinion without having to actually give the person in question a warning point although there will be times I guess that receiving a warning point is the only language a person would understand. insaintee
The post calling me a c**t..? If you disagree with me Ally or the way i articulate myself then by all means say so. But that particular post and poster went beyond any form of banter, and he knows it. equally you can PM me for all my details which you can cross reference with other posters. I would never dream of calling someone I didn't know a c**t, if I wasn't prepared to say it to them in person. Especially a fellow saints fan You can also PM me all bank account details

insaintee
I didn't read it as him calling you a "c**t", it said you were making a "c**t" of yourself by the way you were behaving, and using it as part of the "West Coast" vernacular of describing someone's behaviour. It's a discussion for another topic but I thought your behaviour, on that thread, was quite pernicious in it's delivery. Other than that I think, as a poster, you have viewpoints and thoughts that add to the various forums. Aye i get that, but that particular post/poster was at it trying to slip the 'c' word under the radar in that context. semantics anyway... if your mate says you're 'making a c**t of yourself' I agree with your anaology... Online some people forget when posting to someone they don't know it's akin to stopping a random person in the street and saying 'By the way you're making a c**t of yourself'... there's no reference point, no relationship... it's just poor form, and a shame that adults let alone fellow buds drop to that level. Can I ask how you know I was trying to use that word in any way other than in the context I did use it? Can I also ask, have you reported any of my posts to the moderators? Finally, did you know that once upon a time I posted (on B&W Army I think) that Paddy McCourt was Celtic's kind of Irish signing because he played for the R.O.I, while Kyle Lafferty was Rangers kind of Irish signing because he was a Proddy Norn' Iron' type? exiledfan
I remember getting hospitality at a Nottingham Forrest game and going with a Forrest fan from work. He gave a player an embarrassing amount of abuse through first half (think his name was taylor) then at the table at half time. It turned out that his dad was on the same table and sitting behind us and he got stuck into the fanny I worked with. It just shows you don't know who's about that you might end up upsetting. Imagine your sons a plumber and you had to listen to lots of personal abuse from a disgruntled client how would you feel?
faraway saint
Dearie me. I see you are still following me about on here and making up lies. Here's the deal "Faraway Saint"/"Saint_Sad"/"Lapsley" - you finally prove that I've got loads of aliases and that I've reported you loads of times or you shut up for good? Alternatively, you sort out whatever issues you have with me via PM or meet me for a pint and tell me face to face. I fully expect you to shit yourself though and continue to hide behind aliases and be a wank. Would do more smilies but I'm away for a wank. PS Don't kid yourself on.
