Gordon Urquhart
Anyone else just see Saints fan Mark (Marko Van Haddock) on Eggheads there? Guess it will be on iPlayer shortly if you are interested. One of my favourite TV shows, recorded in Glasgow. Any other Saints fans join me in a Buddies team and I could put an entry in? What are your strong/weak subjects? Brilliant quiz.

zebrakid
Didn't see the programme but would be interested in joining your team, my specialist subject punching "CJ" de Mooi in his smug arrogant face for the duration of the recording. groo-ver
I'd be delighted to have a bash... specialist subject being 'all that obscure pish nobody should really know about' although i do agree with Oaksoft that the ability to remember trivia is in no way a measure of intelligence Edited October 3, 2013 by groo-ver

Hi good. You do know CJ left about two years ago? Replaced by 'Tremendous Knowledge' Dave Rainford. Some nick name to live up to that. Not saying you are not, but interested in serious players here to make a strong team...........
Drew
My area of specialist knowledge is B&WA catchphrases. Eggheads is a pile of pish! F***EM!!! I'm gay by the way. Do I get in the team?

oaksoft
Surely the two best Dickheads on here are Oaksoft and Dicksoft...... oh sorry you wanted Eggheads..... I'd rather be a dickhead than spend my life allowing all and sundry to call me a hero without me asking them to stop.
Gordon Urquhart
Here are the Egghead subject categories. Some sound easy but are not. PoliticsAsquith, Disraeli, US Presidents? Great if you know it, tough if you don’t. Arts & BooksVery difficult to have comprehensive knowledge. In my opinion. Food & DrinkHmmm. Sounds OK but …………. HistoryThink this is the single hardest category.Do you know your Royalty and everything that happened in last 1,000,000 years? I don’t.The individual Eggheads are superb on this subject. Tough.Kevin has never been beaten. GeographyI like this but wide ranging. ScienceNeed to know. MusicPop Music, OK.Opera?Classical?Really? Film & TelevisionBig subject from Hitchcock , Hammer to Hannah Montana. SportAye, on here we all like (Scottish) football fans but Olympics, Skiing, USA Sports? Are you very sure? You need to be. A good example for anyone who thinks it is easy. An Oxford classics professor who thought he only had to show up to win. First question: ‘What is the colour of Noddy’s hat? Do you know, under pressure? My mate Allan (FS Saint) will have extensive experience of this but I’m guessing the fact he is a BBC employee will mean he can’t take part. zebrakid
Hi good. You do know CJ left about two years ago? Replaced by 'Tremendous Knowledge' Dave Rainford. Some nick name to live up to that. Not saying you are not, but interested in serious players here to make a strong team........... Yes I know Cj (I didn't get where I am today without being a dick) left to further his career( that worked out well) however a boy's allowed to dream. If you are serious about putting together a team then I would suggest entering local pub Quizzes before looking like a dick on TV, I'm ok on Art, Geography, Music 1960-1980, TV & Film, anything other than that I'm crap, Yes even sport they could ask the name of St Mirrens,,...........,,,,,? I would get it wrong. Apart from that Cj was first choice there are so many "celebs Who I would pummel with Gusto
zebrakid
Oh I forgot to add Noddy's hat was Blue unless you mean Mr Holder in which case Black Top Hat with Mirror Discs

FS
It would be hard for me to take part from behind the camera, even more so whilst in a part coma from the 4 shows per day recording schedule over a fortnight...feck me !
Herbie
I'd be up for that. Actually successfully applied a few years ago as well but couldn't get the whole team together on the day. I'm a bit of a generalist to be honest but good on food and drink, sport, TV, science, nature. Not so hot on art and lit and history. I also present the Craig Dhu pub quiz every week so surely some of it must have sunk in??!! Edited October 4, 2013 by Herbie

oaksoft
and yet you allow all and sundry to call you a dickhead without asking them to stop. Ah you see, that's because those saying it have no value to me so it's water off a ducks back. I'm sorry did you genuinely think I cared what people think about me? Aw that's so sweet. I may vomit. Very true Herbie , I'm in my 16th year of presenting and during the summer , in Spain , I was dared to enter a quiz for the first time this century. There were around twenty teams , a mixture of holidaymakers and ex-pats , and I won it oot the park pocketing 100euros. It was amazing how many questions were asked that I had previously asked !
