Where Are They Now?

Saw Junior doing his personal training thing at Virgin Active in Finnieston last Sunday - he still looks very fit with not an ounce of fat on him.

The trainers all have a bio pic profile on thing on the wall of the gym.. First thing mentioned on Juniors "Claim to Fame" section of his profile is winning the First Division title with Saints in 2000.

Former St Mirren player Brian Docherty to head Scottish Police Federation

14 Feb 2012 00:00 A FORMER St Mirren player has been appointed chairman of the Scottish Police Federation.

A FORMER St Mirren player has been appointed chairman of the Scottish Police Federation.

Brian Docherty will take over from Les Gray, who has retired.

Docherty will represent more than 18,500 rank-and-file cops during the transition from the current eight-force model to a single police service.

The new chairman joined Strathclyde Police in 1983 after a football career which included stints at St Mirren and Arbroath.

I played against Brian for Faslane Naval Base vs K Div Polis in 1984 when he was a mere Constable in Mill St. It showed up the huge difference between rank amateur and jobbing professional.
