I'm not fond of Sunday football to be honest but if needs must...

How long has it been since we lost a home game that wasn't on a Saturday? I seem to recall someone pointing out our record was great for theses games ahead of the Aberdeen game.

Around 16months ago our BoD were warning us that we were only a few weeks from administration if Oldco Rangers were not allowed back in the SPL because of threats of "Armageddon" made by people like Doncaster.

Saints do run a very tight budget. On a few occasions Board members have had to stump up large sums (up to £100K) to tide the club over until the sponsorship money comes in.

I have no doubt that the players will expect to have appearance money paid for the additional game as per their contract.

Given all these additional costs plus stewarding, policing, etc I think the club have been very fair, as they could have also considered charging Season Ticket holders.

Hopefully there is a good crowd to roar us onto victory. COYS

See your point on the costs. However, the club has clearly stated in Clause 5 of its published Stadium Regulations:

If the game to which this ticket gives access is postponed or abandoned for any reason the ticket will be valid on the rearranged date.

No charge should be applied to any fan who has a ticket stub for the original game. A lesser charge is a breech of policy.

Anyone know why it's on the Sunday rather than the Saturday?

Don't think the weather forecast was great for the Saturday

Saturday
mostlycloudy.gif Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain. Fog early. High of 10C. Breezy. Winds from the WSW at 15 to 25 km/h.
Sunday
partlycloudy.gif Clear. High of 8C. Breezy. Winds from the WSW at 15 to 25 km/h

He's wrong you know!

5. If the game to which this ticket gives access is postponed or abandoned for any reason the ticket will be valid on the rearranged date. A person who does not wish to attend the rearranged playing of the match shall be entitled either to a refund of the face value of the ticket in the case of postponement or an amount to be determined by the Club acting reasonably in the case of abandonment after the match has kicked off.

Sorry but you've misread the policy. The section you've highlighted only relates to those 'who do not wish to attend' the rearranged fixture. Those who will be attending, should they hold the orginal ticket, are indeed entitled to free entry.

To reiterate, the club is in breech of its own policy on this matter. A policy which is as current as January 2013.

I think a fiver with the ticket stub isn't unreasonable.

Shite happens, and it did just that on Saturday, but I'm glad the re-match is sooner rather than later, and, FWIW, I actually found the portion of the match that was played last weekend was very enjoyable. More of the same (for 90 minutes, mind), and that would be very good value for £25.

But not as current as the policy laid out on the match ticket.

It states that free entry would be given if the match was abandoned before half time.
