bluto
Happy enough with the draw. At least it wont get moved from the Saturday hopefully Which Saturday? No mention on the Beeb(or here) of dates... eta: Just checked fixture lists on b+w (here), showing two free Saturdays 16 and 30 in Nov. I assume one of them? Edinbuddie
Which Saturday? No mention on the Beeb(or here) of dates... eta: Just checked fixture lists on b+w (here), showing two free Saturdays 16 and 30 in Nov. I assume one of them? 30th Nov. Not a great number of seats in the away end but think they opened the terracing behind the goal for Sevco's visit in the Ramsden's Cup? Lex
It will be a very different team to the one that was disgraced in Dumfries, from memory the league cup side was: Cornell Vanzy-Goodwin-McAusland-Grainger Teale-McGinn-Newton-McLean Harkins Thompson The team that started on Saturday, and the one that will likely start in this game barring injury will be: Kello Naismith-Mair-McGregor-Kelly Newton-Goodwin-McLean-McGinn McGowan Thompson Only 1 player of the 11 that started in Dumfries started in the same position in our last match - Thommo. That's been the kind of turn around Danny's been forced to make, and it's worked to an extent, we are playing far better.
flyingscot
It could have been a better draw- someone we haven't played for a while but it also could have been far worse considering 4 all SPL ties. Doubt we'd be happy if it we were like Kilmarnock- away to Tannadice! At least we get a decent weekend trip to Dumfries.
faraway saint
30th Nov. Not a great number of seats in the away end but think they opened the terracing behind the goal for Sevco's visit in the Ramsden's Cup? I'll be in Tenerife, but not worrying, as Lex has indicated, we're a different team and should turn this lot over.

Drew
Quite fancy getting along to this one but would prefer not to drive and have a couple of beers. Does anyone know if this remote location is accessible by public transport?

Short walk from the town centre, plenty of pubs and places to eat. 1 hour 45 on the train with no changes after Glasgow Central. £18.70 return from Glasgow Edited November 5, 2013 by davidg

3 moffat buds
£12.40 return on the X74 bus from Buchanan St - takes a wee bit longer but the terminus is closer to Palmerston. Timetable => http://www.stagecoachbus.com/PdfUploads/Timetable_29612_X74%20-%20Glasgow%20-%20Dumfries.pdf Gutted about the date of this game since instead of being nearly a home game for us we'll be at a 21st Birthday party in....Paisley !! davidg
Cheapest I found was 27 quid? 18.70 even better That's from Gilmour street mate, buy the return ticket for glasgow to Dumfries and then pay for the paisley to glasgow one one the day. Noticed this also, dunno why this is. Edited November 6, 2013 by davidg
spoogy1
Im positive you can get train from barrhead to dumfries
insaintee
You can get the train from Barrhead. But you have to change at Kilmarnock and wait happy as larry for about 20 minutes. Used to work in Dumfries and comutted! Took the car to Dunlop and got on the train there. Or took the car the whole way! Mental

insaintee
looks like the service got better. Think it took me two hours. Also if I missed the 5 o'clock train I had a long wait!

faraway saint
Don't know where QOS were when we played them earlier in the season but right now they are 3rd bottom, played 11 with 12 points. We shouldn't take them lightly but if we continue with our current form we should hump them about 4-0.
