FS
Another childhood hero gone. I used to love that silver Ford Capri they'd run around in too... I even got the Scalextrix version for Christmas about 30 odd years ago.
Wilbur
Lewis Collins used to drink occasionally in the Ring'O'Bells boozer in Elderslie back in the 1970s. He was a mate of the pub's owner at the time, Alan Somebody-or-other.

oscar
The Professionals - brilliant. They're showing it on freeview in the morning - watch it while eating my breakfast and sometimes late for work. Sorry to hear about Lewis Collins. beyond our ken
LC always seemed a top guy who didnt take himself too seriously I remember seeing him on daytme tv, early 80s being interviewed with John Conteh, they were doing a charity run from London to Liverpool at the start of the christmas holidays. reporter asked them if they were camping out and they both sniggered, saying they were slumming it at holiday inns. problem was they'd been dragged into a rammy in a hotel bar the night before and the papers were reporting that they had been banned from the chain didnt know he was that old, one of those people that it's hard to imagine ageing
