Girdiorn boy
does anyone else think that if mclean cant go tomorrow we should play vanzy with goodwin in the middle? might give us more dig and might stop jim flying into things

Nothing will stop Jim...
steve_the_saint
Well I think after today, that answers that question! Vanzy didn't seem to know what to do beside Goodwin.
Kemp
What a terrible idea, can't believe Lennon went with it!! Hopeless second half.
spankin_panda
I don't blame Vanzy for being utter shite today, I blame our manager for playing in that position..... Truly shocking decision making today, cost us the points
Sonny
I do blame Danny for the loss of two points today however DVZ is never in a million years a midfield player.
Nigel Hasselhoff
Lennon's fault. DVZ can only try and do the job asked of him. Unfortunately he's out of his depth at the level as a right back, never mind in cenral midfield.
Gordon Urquhart
You can make an argument for Vanzy in Goodwins role when he is not there but both together is a non starter, proved today.

Correct, just don't think we needed 2 holding midfielders...we missed a central midfielder supporting the front 2 2nd half. I guess away from home against a top six side it may be something DL would look at but didn't think it worked at all today
norrie82
Unbelievable decision from Danny. What the hell was he doing? Mair on for cheesy equals minimum disruption? No we move grainger, Kelly and McGinn to accommodate vampy. Shocking Edited December 30, 2013 by norrie82

Bud the Baker
Why the feck did you even put that thought into his head! Some posts are so good it's a shame you can only like them once. **************** On a more serious note does DVZ have one of these clauses which generate a new deal if he makes a certain amount of appearances. Still a decent squad member but no longer first pick RB, obviously age is catching up and next season may well be one too far. Would like to see him go out while still an asset to the squad. Smeato
Danny really has it in for Lee Mair for some reason. Seems to do everything he can to not let him play. Any ideas why?
BuddieinEK
Danny really has it in for Lee Mair for some reason. Seems to do everything he can to not let him play. Any ideas why? because he is overpaid, over-rated, tying up too large a percentage of the wages and is an antagonist behind the scenes? Dibbles old paperboy
Danny really has it in for Lee Mair for some reason. Seems to do everything he can to not let him play. Any ideas why? He has probably decided to move Mair on and it seems like Mair's contract automatically gets renewed when he plays x amount of games, therefore if Danny has decided he wants to bring in someone instead of Mair next season the only way to make that happen is refuse to play Mair for most of the season so he doesn't reach his quota for getting another year's extension. Surely if you have someone who is not in your plans & you dont want to play him in case it triggers a contract extension , you wouldnt give him a bench slot ?!? If mairs off, let him train with the youths & get a young un on the bench.
