Good programme on BBC4 about anarchist, feminist and Sci-Fi/Fantasy author Ursula K. Le Guin last night.

Probably most famous for her Earthsea novels where a young protagonist with a facial scar goes to wizarding school and eventually defeats his evil nemesis and saves the world - note any similarities to a recent blockbuster series of books and fillums?

See the source image

As an aside her career spanned Pulp Sci-Fi mags to the internet where she posted on SciFi forums under the UserName Wizzywig!

Was exceptionally poor.

Definitely lost it’s way.

Shame as it used to be great new years eve viewing.

Watson needs to be replaced with someone who can actually mimic and the material needs to be better. I honestly couldn't tell who he was impersonating until they said and his material is sh!te. IMO the concept is still good but the content is terrible.

15 writers they had up in the credits

Must be better out there

I could write better stuff.

The thing is other options at the same time were shit, so the competition was weak yet I still couldn't stand it.

As St Lucifer said it was hard to fecking tell who they were meant to be mimicking.

This same discussions been on here for quite a few years, the consensus is it's past it's sell-by date and should be binned.

Decided, as my IPTV service is down, to go back and start to watch Killing Eve.

Better be good.

First 2 episodes watched, aye, I can see why it's been winning awards.

The characters are strong, story line moves along quickly and it's brutal.......................what's not to like.

Current;y half way through a pretty good Scottish drama, Traces.

Some of the major scenes were shot in/around Dundee.

At this stage, just finished the 3rd episode of 6, very good.

Just finished this, one of the best things I've watched for some time.

Only 6 episodes, well worth the effort. :thumbsup

If there's ever been a worse TV program then the current shite that's on my TV, The Masked Singer, then I must have missed it.
God save me.

I saw the clips advertising it - that was enough. It's indicative of most of the tripe we get served up these days, though. Strictly Big Masked Housewives on Ice in the Essex Jungle pish.

Agreed, "watched" last night with the grand kids, jeezo, tonight was utter tripe.

The concept is pish, the panel are garbage, all in all 0/10.
